We meet again
This wasn't really up to her standards when it came to heists. And it wasn't a real heist. It was just that her employer needed her to get some things to trade on the black market for the cold hard cash he needed to get his little war started soon. He wanted to get Gotham back to being so dirty Detroit would look like it was clean. The metaphor was lost on someone like her who had spent much of her life in Europe and the Middle East.

She misses the desert on nights like these. She had thirty minutes until the security came around to check the vault. She had just enough time to get in and out.

In ten minutes she had gotten her prize and was quickly sailing over roof tops and around ally ways tearing like mad away from a successful job. This haul should please her Boss because it yielded a high pay out for them.

And now she senses trouble.

"I can imagine. But sorry, it's in my code that I don't let you go just like that." He takes out a pair of handcuffs and casually spins them around his index finger, now using his weight to keep her pinned.

"So name or handcuffs." He raises an eyebrow and waits for her to choose. Because he's still not sure what he's going to do with her but he needs to move this along.

	That causes him to freeze and just blink. It wasn't supposed to go this way...she was supposed to struggle or give him a hint or flirt...not just give up. He gives her an odd look, "Just like that? You're not going to try and get out? At least offer me a hint?" He's very confused right now, this has never happened before. Why protect an employer that much? (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He throws his hands up in the air in frustration, "Oh for..."

She's protecting the employer's name too much. She's personally invested, this isn't professional. And he'll be damned if he's not going to find out who it is. If this guy can hire a thief like that and make them choose jail and potentially ending their career...then he's got something big he wants done and he knows what it takes to do it.

Robin cuffs her then gets up off her looking more annoyed and pissed than anything. "I'm not even going to call the police, you can get out of those on your own before they come anyway. I'm going to find out who you're working for because that right there is the most foolish attempt at disguising something under 'professionalism'."

He sounds mad, and he is pissed, but he's more disappointed than anything. He expected...more. She was good. Not mob thief good, freelance thief good. The type people hired for anything. He might not have seen her in action much but judging on their first encounter and how fast she opened that safe... This was just odd. His mother had said that you protected your employer because it was a job, but if it came down to you or them that you should get out of there because your employer wouldn't be protecting you.

This was just all wrong.

She's not giving anyone up. Se can't because she has to protect her mentor. She won't let anyone break her to get that from her.

Finally thought she slips a little because she doesn't want him hurt. "Robin. Stay out of it. Please."

She can't ask him to do any more than that. All ready she knows that this is going to get her into trouble. The kind of trouble she doesn't need.

Still pissed he glares at her, "If you think that whoever your employer is can hurt me...you're either overestimating him or underestimating me. Both of which are big mistakes Fox."

He's not going to hurt her, but he wants to make it clear that he's not getting off her tail about this either. Gotham's vigilantes were the only ones criminals should fear, not some trumped up employer. And certainly not enough to risk yourself like that. No, now he's even more interested in finding out who she works for.

She huffs at him. "I don't want people getting shot on my account Boy Wonder.... I can take care of myself."

She's done well for three years. No closer to what she wants in the end but she's stubborn. The fact that she's glaring at him and prepared to get away as quick as she can all at once says far too much about her drive.

The handcuffs get flung at him because as far as she's concerned she is done here. The swing line to get her out of this place goes off.

If he really wants to he can chase her some more.

"As if I've never been shot before. And yet I'm still here so I guess that doesn't work does it?" He should keep that anger under control but this annoys him. The situation more than her really.

But throwing handcuffs at him? Now he's annoyed at her. He swings out too to chase her down. To find out why she's being like this and because you don't let criminals who throw handcuffs at you escape. At least he doesn't.

	She's good at hiding when she wants to. She doesn't want to deal with him. He made her mad because he reminded her of all the things she couldn't fight against. That she was under someone's thumb and no one could change that. And she is staying very still under the water tower clinging to the tank hoping the shadows hide her well enough in the dark. He's not too far behind her when she disappears from site. Hiding no doubt. He's not letting her get away. The only places she can hide are the roof right by (too open) or the water tower.

Once at the tower he slowly walks to the tank, seeing that the shadows are oddly shaped.

"You can't hide that easily." It's not quite a growl but the fact that he's no less annoyed is clear.

	Does she really think he'll just leave? He sighs a little. Finally, she tumbles out and the chase continues. Except this isn't the fun chase they started the night with, they're both angry and neither is going to give up. 	He's having none of that, and he's flipping right after her hot on her trail. He's got her haul, he doesn't have as much reason to chase her down. But right now he doesn't care. 	The problem with going fast like this is the possibility of slipping up and hurting ones self. She doesn't hurt herself but she has to pull herself back up onto a roof. It gives her two seconds less time on him. This is when he might get her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"No. You're not. A professional wouldn't put the job above themselves like this. They'd know when to break it off." He can tell she's not going to be telling him anything. It just means more detective work.

Same employer? Well at least she's given him something. If all of her thefts are for the same guy he can figure out who it is eventually.
