The Flowers Job
Sarah had needed to do a very simple job. Get into a party a gangster was throwing and plant some bugs. Her employer was trying to gather intelligence and wanted to make sure that he was covering all of his bases. Honestly was was far too easy for her to find a way into the party. Invitations were easy to get her hands on and with the right dress no one really wanted to ask questions either.

Guards were so easy to flirt past. Especially when she was putting out all the stops. She thought she might even check out the safe while she was here. This was proving to be an incredibly easy and fun job for the thief. She should just try really hard to not tempt fate.

	"So," he smirks, "you're saying that the next time I want to stop one of your heists I just need to hug you? Hmmm...easier than I thought." 	"I think if you did that to stop me.... I'd faint," she said after a moment. Now they're outside so she moves quickly. Sarah is a very fast climber. The only issue is her dress so she hikes it up so the slit can rest on her hip to allow her more freedom of movement as she gains the height she needs. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's nice to run over the rooftops with someone who can keep up, even if the dress slows her down a bit. Of course he can't help but glance appreciatively once she hikes it up. Oh he's smirking now. He'll find a way to surprise hug her just to see her reaction now. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It won't do for him to get too far ahead. She has to lead the way since she was trying to get back to home. They're still far enough off that Sarah is well aware she's going to regret her dress by the time they get there. She's very cold right now. It's a big place for one person. There's a few things that paint this as home. A few obviously childish looking attempts at pottery kept on a shelf on the wall. The couch looks like it coast an arm and a leg at one point but it is well worn in.

And a big pile of DVDs near a TV.

Then there's the fire place. She kicks her shoes off and shivers like a leaf. Quick as she can she scurries over to start a fire while fighting off the chill from the outside.

	It's more like what she thinks of home as. When he offers her the cape she snuggles into it. Then gets a look of herself in a mirror hanging up along one wall. "Oh God. I look like a little kid." She giggles and shakes her head. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It does look awfully homey but he doesn't ask just in case. He does wonder though what it means that she was okay showing him this place. He chuckles and adjusts the cape on her shoulders, "You need to stand taller and glare a little. Oh and turn off the lights. It helps with the menacing but mysterious effect." 	Thomas freezes and stays very still now, a little confused at what she's doing, there was something different about this. And it doesn't help that innerBatman is telling him that being this physically close was a danger, she could do a lot of damage from here. He didn't think she would though. He'd ruined something hadn't he? What was it though? She was only flirting wasn't she? She wasn't even interested...she couldn't actually...

Maybe he was being stupid.

But he feels like he did something wrong. He needs to get back to the usual teasing, get rid of this awkwardness. Do something.

He gives her a smile and does the first thing he can think of to surprise her, he pulls her into a tight hug (too tight to do anything much he tells innerBatman). "Don't go fainting on me now..." It might also be a little revenge for all her teasing tonight.

	She had barely any time to try and settle into him or anything. She did though roll her eyes when he said that. "You're just teasing me," she says with a soft smile. "But I was already done," she points out fighting a laugh. Blocking her from further crime see,med rather silly at this point. This of course means she must try kissing him again. It doesn't quite work because she's shorter than him and has to catch herself on him to be able to do that.

"But I guess if you think trying to kiss you is evil.... okay, I can go with that."

This was what temptation really was wasn't it? This right here.

Because a part of him realizes she's serious. He so desperately wants to agree and knows that he can't. And although innerBat says it's because of the law thing, it's really not. She seemed to trust him and he...well he couldn't even remove his mask even if they did. It wasn't fair to her.

You didn't straight turn down a woman like this. That was just...wrong. But he couldn't...not yet anyway. No he needed to think this through, figure out what he was doing.

He casually twirls her hair and smiles, "Perhaps one day I'll take you up on that."

But damnit he really wants to now.
