Decking the Halls
The JLA has a tendency to go all out for the holiday - and the younger generation isn't an exception. Jon has been working much of the day to get the decorations up around the base. Which says a great deal about just how decorated it gets, considering he's been doing most of it at super speed, and is only now starting to slow down and get to the detail work, with the big stuff done.

	Maria was late, she over slept again, but she did eventually arrive. She was carrying a stack of pizza boxes. Decorating worked up and appetite. "Where should I put these?" she asked as she entered, not being able to see where she was going. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Margery helped where she could, but she was kind of nervous. She was torn between being enthralled by all the available food, and instinct telling her that all milk and cookies in the house should be locked away. Especially in a place with so much to lose... Someone's finally worked out how to create a playlist of multicultural holiday music and play it over the P.A. system all over the base. It's an inoffensive volume, and set to switch off immediately if someone needs make an announcement or if an alarm goes off.

Anyone approaching the monitor room might catch the sound of someone singing along in Spanish and English, depending on the song and impulse. Amateur hour is peppered with the occasional editorial comment about the ability of things to tangle themselves in knots when someone's not watching.

"This is my fault, isn't it?" Alina asks rhetorically of the knotted string of lights across her lap. "You did this when I was high on chaos because you thought it would be funny later. Well, joke's on you, I've untangled worse, bring it!"

"Well, I have gotten more control over my magic," Alina says. "So a lot of the lower-level stuff has petered out. The big bads don't make regular attempts, and some of them may have even lost interest in me at this point."

She can only hope some of them have lost interest.

"Yeah, I guess if this was me, the bulbs would actually be merged into each other or something. Yay me, I guess."
