New Guardians... GUARD (Okay, we really need a better battle cry)
By locking on to Saishu again, Heather had been able to lead Andy and Lenny to Cindy, Harry, Jess, and Saishu. With the flying members carrying the non-fliers, they made their way back to the beach. Because, in the face of all logic, Ganthet was still there and who knew what the Controllers were doing to him.

As they came in from the air, it turned out to be fairly bad. Strung up by his arms and legs by Effigy flames, one of the Controllers--there were only two of them remaining now--blasted him with bolts of cosmic energy. His red cloak was singed, his blue skin blackened in places. And he was screaming.

"Uh... plan?" Heather asked.

Saishu focuses on the energy bolts, letting the fires wash over her. What pain there is just makes her angry - and dodging into the fire, a lot less damaging to her than the other energy, actually makes it that much easier to evade other shots.

With only Andy following, some may say she's horribly outnumbered. Saishu, on the other hand, considers herself to be surrounded by a target-rich environment.

With some awareness of where Andy is at, she otherwise starts swinging at everything that moves.

	Lenny quickly moves to where they have Ganthet, using his powers to quickly get an impression of the Oan's injuries. "The damage is mostly cosmetic thankfully, but he shouldn't be moving around too much." Lenny uses some of his energy to stabilize the worst of Ganthet's injuries. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Andy is nearby. In a sense. Up is a direction in which Andy is nearby. Andys body has morphed and stretched, into a form Andy seems familiar with but has never seen. It looks almost like a large insect, with the body tinted yellow as she swings and blasts at all enemies who come near. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Effigies put themselves between their Controller masters and Saishu and Andy, but against their blows, they stand little chance and begin to fall. The other Controller, meanwhile, continues focusing his blasts on the crystal. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Heather strained to reinforced the crystal, having to repair it almost as soon as she made it. "He's too strong..."

The crystal shattered as a blast tore through it, aimed low.

"Look out!"

Heather tried to form another shield, but it was weak and half formed, and the blast passed through it, taking her legs clean off at the knees with it, blasting her backwards.

"Arrrrgh!"

"HEATHER!" Lenny ignores Ganthet completely, heading to where Heather had fallen. "It's okay, it's okay," he said trying to sound confident. He placed his hands out to where her legs used to be, trying not to feel sick, as he poured healing energy into her body. "All will be well. All will be well. All will be well." It barely registered to him that he was saying this, so focused on trying to heal Heather.

	Saishu may not have the greatest mind for plans - but she's entirely aware that she's supposed to be the distraction. Roaring, she charges towards those firing at the others, inviting those she had been fighting to take their best shots, just occupying everyone she can and mowing down anything in reach. He's already jumpy and nervous, the fighting was bad enough but he was still awfully shaken by the faulty teleport earlier and how having everyone scattered and attacked separately had been his fault then. But when he sees Heather's legs blown clean off he goes white and can feel his stomach drop. That first hole straight through her on their first meeting, then losing a hand later and now her legs...what was the point of this hero thing if you couldn't even protect your own? It didn't seem like anything was going right. Ganthet hurt, messing up that teleport, and now...not being able to save Heather from getting hurt each time.

Focus focus focus. He wanted to rush to help Heather but what could he do? He couldn't seem to do anything of this right and if he teleported Heather and Lenny to safety there was still a chance these Controllers could mess up his teleporting again. Which would leave Cindy on her own...

Harry turns to Cindy, looking for some kind of instruction. Yes, he didn't seem to be able to do much right and was very much not cut out for this hero stuff, but if any of this hero stuff was going to go right it was because of Cindy. She had the plans and her plans worked. So he was going to do everything he possibly could to carry those plans to a T. Because that's the only thing he has real faith in now. Not his teleporting, not their abilities, not any belief that will get through this or win, but that Cindy has a plan and that if this plan was followed things would work.

"Cindy?"

Cindy's looking to Ganthet "Yes, we returned, you idio --" and when Heather is hit, she stops cold, eyes wide, and the orange flares up.
She looks directly at the cluster of Controllers and effigies.
"Ibegyourpardonbutifyouwouldbesokind, BACK OFF, PLEASE!" She throws all she's got into it -- and that's quite a bit because Heather, in a completely non-threatening-to-Saishu way, is hers. Maybe it'll buy them a second.

She looks to Harry, shoves Ganthet into his arms, points to Lenny and Heather with one hand, the edge of the trees with the other hand. "Them. There." Because you don't try to deal with someone rapidly losing body mass in the middle of the battle that caused it. Or torture victims either.

He just nods, the relief is clear in his eyes now. There's a plan.

Pushing down worries about teleporting disruption Harry holds onto Ganthet and teleports over to Heather and Lenny in a flash. "Sorry, we've got to move. Hold on." He shifts Ganthet in his arms so he's holding the Guardian in one and the other is free to reach out to touch Heather and give Lenny a chance to grab on.

The Effigies stand no chance against the onslaught that follows, and though the Controllers are made of much sterner stuff, the power behind the other attacks, combined with Cindy's orange power... gives them pause.

The Orange Light... they fear it. Larfleeze once consumed several of their brothers with his Orange Ring. And this slip of a human girl has quite the power of it of her own.

"Perhaps... another time, humans," one of them said, before they both vanished.

The transition from teleporting is mercifully easy, and Lenny's power keeps Heather from freaking out more than she probably should be.

Still. This is the third time she's been injured like this, the second it's been more than just a hole. She regenerated the crystal each time... But each time, it's felt like she's lost more and more of who she was before the crystal.

"...This vacation sucks," she muttered.

Lenny had grabbed a hold of Harry when needed, but as soon as they were out of harms way Lenny was back to cradling Heather.

"I know, I know," he said soothingly. "but we're going to get out of here." He pumped more feelings of hope into Heather as he healed her. "Tell you what, you get to pick the place of our first real date. How does that sound?" Keep her mind off her condition.

	Saishu has been drawing all the fire she can. And once she's got less of the red going, she'll doubtless feel it. Mostly burns, a few cuts. Despite which, she's still snarling in the direction the Controllers were in, cursing them for cowards in a number of non-English languages. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Harry doesn't say anything as Lenny talks, letting the two have their moment and leaving Lenny to work. He's still got Ganthet in his arms and while he would normally give Lenny extra charge, he refrained for the moment in case he needed to teleport them out again while the fight was going on.

When he sees the retreat Cindy caused Harry can't help the relieved smile. He'd been right, Cindy could do it. Her plans always worked. It made him feel a bit better about everything that was happening. Not a huge amount, but right now any little bit was a help.
