Super Bowl Party
Cindy was proud of the festivities she'd set up.

The game was projected onto one wall of the huge atrium the party was taking place in, with plenty of comfy seats facing it. It was only polite, after all.

More important was the food. Tables of chips, veggies, wings (with three different types of dressing), muffelettas (it's a New Orleans occasion this year. Thematic), and chili rolls. Cindy was especially proud of the chili rolls; there was one row marked 'Regular' and one row marked 'Queen' The latter row had a stack of pens and informed-consent waivers in front of it.

There was also a small end table full of party favors for everyone. In celebration of commerce, they were $10 gift cards, each for somewhere she thought fitting for the person the card was marked for.

Cindy likes parties.

NDA form and notebook in hand, Harry approaches Pippi with whatever her preferred drink at this party is and offered it to her.

"Hi Pippi, having a good time?"

"Oh, thanks Harry!" Predictably, her favorite drinks are easy to find. Locate the sweetest, most saccharine thing - and its perfect. She doesn't drink alcohol, as he's well aware by now, so definitely sticking to the soda offerings.

"Yeah, its a nice crowd. I still think Birdies are better than the algebra team though."

Harry himself doesn't drink so getting her sweet non-alcoholic drinks wasn't too far off from what he was getting himself. "No problem."

"That's good, hopefully they win then. Do they have the better uniforms too?" Nice thing about Pippi was that she never failed to be in a good mood. But he usually liked to hear what she had to get out before he got to anything practical. Small talk never hurt and she was an interesting boss to talk to.

"Well, I am kind of partial to purple, so that helps. I'm not sure why they're wearing their white shirts when they have all the pictures in purple though. These will show the grass stains."

"Guess they should hire you next time for the wardrobe stuff," he nods. "Umm, speaking of, there's a job offer for you for hair and wardrobe consultant. And you'd be able to use it in your portfolio." He'd wait for Pippi's initial reaction first before he went into the rest of the non-NDA details.

"Eeeee! A job? Tell me about it! Hair and wardrobe would be perfect!"

He'll do so, mentioning all the points in his notebook that he's allowed to. Yes, even the businessy parts, but he does put more emphasize on hair and wardrobe job, good for her portfolio, it being the sort of thing he knows she likes (but no details on what it was), fits in her schedule (though he doesn't think he's allowed to say the approximate dates), and mentions again the fact she'd be working with people she knew. Pippi was real nice and helpful, and he thought she'd probably wanted to style and do her friends' hair and makeup and now she'd get a chance to really put that kind spirit to use. Win win all around right? He's sure people will appreciate her work. Add in the rest of the good parts and he thought it'd be a good job for jumping into the professional sphere.

"So that's what I'm allowed to say so far. What'd you think? There's more details but you have to sign a form first saying you won't tell anyone in order to get them."

"Oh, yeah... I'd definitely like to hear more. Do you think that the forms are ok to sign? That's part of what Cain does for Mom, checks contracts and stuff. If you think its ok, I can sign it, and not say things, sure."

Harry nodded. "Don't worry, I read through it multiple times, and I signed it myself first and heard the details before I wanted to come to you. It's reasonable, and I found out Cindy was involved after I asked if they had backers. They just want to make sure there's no information about the project getting out early. This way when it comes out it's more of a hit right? And I asked about using it in your portfolio, they said that once the pictures come out it's fine to do so. Don't worry, that fits in the portfolio schedule. And you'll have great models for it," he smiles.

Pippi pauses. "Harry, you work for me now. This is your job. You don't need to explain why its ok to sign things not to talk about stuff, or explain every detail of a contract. You can just tell me the things I need to know, and if you think its a good idea or not. You've been doing a great job so far, and I trust you. Indigo wouldn't have picked you if I couldn't trust you." she agrees, holding a hand out for the paperwork.

"Okay. I just...didn't want you to think I wasn't giving you all the information or anything or that I didn't think things through," he admits sheepishly and hands over the NDA and his pen. "So umm...I think it's a good idea and a good job to take. But I also think that you should sign the NDA and hear the details for yourself, since I'm sure you'll want to know more about the practical hair and makeup parts. I asked them to send you a model list if you did so you know who you're working with."

Pippi nods, right back to smiling. "Oh, I haven't taken the job yet, obviously. I'll want the information, but when it comes to contracts, or at least things where we don't say stuff, I trust that you've read things and thought them through. You've been good at this job so far." she adds, signing the NDA, handing it back, and waiting for the rest of the details.

Harry nods, thinking it was all reasonable. "Yeah, which is why they'll give you the list if you ask or sign on. But always good to know details." He blushes slightly at the compliment though. "Thanks, I'm trying."

Now he turns around to see if Cindy is waiting in the wings and read to explain the Pippi-relevant details.

"Not precisely the same, but a similar 'minimalist approach to clothing, strategic positioning' kind of style. So would you be interested, not only in the hair and makeup, but helping minimalize the costumes for a bunch of girls in the super-set?"

"Ohhh, that'd be fun. What type of minimal? Monroe and Page, Short skirt and missing a button, 50's beach chic? What kind of style and format?"

"Well, there's going to be a lot of variety based on each person, and seasonal. We're doing a charity cheesecake calendar. So the summer months'd be beach-oriented -- pretty sure Cait's got August, for instance. But there's a lot of flexibility. As long as the outfits are both recognizably their costumes, but showing a lot more, just within PG13 range."

And the list is gotten out of who's in.

At which point Harry looks down at his notepad pointedly and distracts himself by taking notes.

Good thing Pippi knew what questions she wanted, he wouldn't have been able to ask or know much about this part of the job.

Pippi reviews the names without saying them aloud, then nods. "Alright, so you're looking for good girl work based on their costumes. Sure, I can do that. I'll need the fabric, but I have the rest. This could be fun. Have Harry review the contract. If he likes it, and I can still use it for my portfolio, like he said, I'm in."

Harry nods in agreement, he'll look the contract over. Very carefully. Because she's putting a lot of trust in him if she'd sign what he said and he didn't want to steer Pippi wrong.

"Anything else she'd need or to consider?"

"The money's nothing much. She'd need someone to watch her unicorn. And you don't have to make the call immediately if you'd rather look it over some more, Harry. Things are on the right track. We don't need the ts crossed today."
