The flow of drugs through Gotham was like a tidal wave most of the time, but occasionally Huntress and Robin managed to stem the tide. Huntress had been working for weeks gathering information on her latest targets. She had been watching, tracking and collecting information on all people involved. She was almost ready to make a move. Almost.

Tonight she was following a shipment. She knew how they were coming into the city, who was receiving them, who was moving them, but the final destination before they hit the streets was the unknown. Tonight she would find out and then they all could be taken down.

She watched from her rooftop perch across the street from the warehouse.

Tomas tracked this shipment from the other end. He knows who is moving them, but missed them on the outgoing end. Thankfully, he was able to get some information from one of their agents who wanted to live - and thus ended up in Gotham.

He's settled in an alley with a good view of his target destination, and out of easy viewing from any of their sentry posts or the rooftop, just waiting for the move to be made.

	Tomas tenses as he sees the van, but then stills until it passes his alleyway. Once he sees it turn a corner, he starts out, moving to follow it and trying to stay out of sight. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Tomas moves in, using the other side of the van as a shield against the lookout's vision, trying to get close enough to the sentry to take him out without the others noticing. Quick, quiet and efficient. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Tomas notices movement out of the corner of his eye. Damnit, he must have missed a rooftop sentry somewhere. No time to break the guy's neck. He just puts the sentry down with a hard chop. Of the two remaining, one is drawing a gun wen he gets a fist to the throat. He'll likely live, but it puts him down, grabbing at his throat and gasping. The other manages to get a gun out and a shot off, though it misses when Tomas rolls to one side, and then hits him with an uppercut.

Unfortunately, the gunshot was still plenty audible. Damn whoever that was that made him rush this.

He finally gets a look at the person - not a great look, but still... female. One of the bats, he thinks. Maybe the one who moonlights with the JLA?

On second glance... hot female, in tight clothing. But still one of the do-gooders... he has to remind himself. No time for that now. He shuts the van doors, and heads for the driver's seat. While she deals with the remnants, time for him to get out of there. Someone is expecting a vanload, and he has his perfect means in.

	Well he won't get far on a flat from the tire she shot out, but it never hurt to be careful. She shot an arrow into another tire as the van started to move. Two flat tires. That should the trick. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Yeah, he might have been able to make the one flat tire work - since he didn't give a damn about the van.

Two? No chance. He tosses one of his grenades into the back and abandons the van after careening into an alley.

Great, so now there's no way he'll be able to bust up the rest of the operation. Stealing the van was the obvious way in. So nice of the Batfamily to make it easier on the druglords to stay in business.

	Huntress was pissed. That van was the one thing that would have allowed her to find the other people involved and some jerk tried to steal the drugs for himself. It was time to deal with said jerk. 	He may be pissed off with her, but he has no reason to want to mix it up with the Bat crowd just now. That way just leads to trouble. He's made the leap up to grab a hanging fire escape, and started climbing - out of range of it when the grenade goes off in the van to at least make sure nothing gets salvaged to end up back on the street. When he reaches the top first, he's a little tempted to drop another of his explosives down at her, or attack her mid-climb. She ruined an opportunity to take the whole ring down, hard.

Wouldn't be sporting though. He's there, watching her, just long enough to make it clear he could make the climb a lot more difficult, then just shakes his head and takes off for the next rooftop, leaping across the gap.

"I had an in to stop their central distribution, and take out the cartels' local contact." he's not going to lose her. She has the climbing tools to get places he can't, and is every bit as fast, as well as more familiar with the city. So - might as well exchange words and let things get in closer. She has too much of an edge at long range.

"Then you blew out the tires."

"You think I think I own Gotham? Please." She rolled her eyes. "You don't know me. You may know the previous Bats, but not me. I'd just like a head's up if I'm going to be sharing turf with someone. So I don't mistakenly kick their ass."

She smirked a bit. It was hard for Maria to be serious all of the time.

"Skanda, as in the Hindu god who was the son of Shiva, or as the guardian of Buddhist monasteries, or am I totally off the mark?"

Maria didn't take responsibility well, but she did have a brain. One that Bruce and her parents made sure was educated in religions, philosophy, art, music, history, math and sciences.

	Yeah, he's sure that would go over real well. Somehow, he doubts she'd care for his methods. On the other hand - at least if she's going to get in the way, she's cute. He lets her go off her direction, heading the other. Time to come up with a new plan. (Reply to this)(Parent)
