Watch Repairs (open)
The cars drive by outside, the birds chirp, and inside twenty-four separate clocks tick in perfect unison. A small get away lair for Professor IQ back in the day, taken over by Clock King afterwards, and now in the possession of one "Scott Bartholomew West" or, as his real name was, Scott Bartholomew Rayner-West or Knight-Rayner-West, depending on the side of the family, and forever known as Highball to his grandmother.

Calling him Scott would be much easier. And in this era, money is everything. So Scott is ready not only for alerts from Scooter (downstairs in the lab, watching The Shawshank Redemption), but also for customers with broken time pieces.

Just another day at Western Time Watch Repairs.

Riley listens very carefully to everything, having Skeets record it all for later review. His poker face is firmly in place, but it's not a harsh expression.

Finally, he speaks.

"First... not having powers doesn't mean you're powerless. It's who you are that's going to define your super identity."

He wants to talk about how his dad, even if started out true, was only playing the fool for so long. But no, being a Carter means preserving the secret that Booster Gold saved time more than most people could count. The first Time Lord in the family was a buffoon. A prancing fool of a glory-hound. That's what everyone had to think.

"Second, if I ever find out you're not playing straight with me, there's no place or time you can hide from me." He didn't have quite the same emotional heart-strings pulled as Henry, having grown up around heroes without inherent superpowers as much as ones with.

"Third... this would have been a lot simpler if you were just a douche and I could wipe the floor with you." He smirks, extending a hand.

Scott looks at the hand and thinks. After a second, he takes it.

"Now, what I said doesn't leave this room. If anyone asks, I'm part of a team from the future with my siblings called the Strikers. I'd prefer people to disassociate the quick, funny watch repair man from the cocky, brash and loud Gold Sentinel."

Besides, you'd lose, Golden Boy... Scott thinks to himself.

"Actually... That sounds great right now. I mean, it's what, a Beetle and a kid you guys know up there? Want to bring everyone down, lock up and get some food? Maybe watch a movie or play some games?" Scott looks around. Best if they don't know he upgraded his PS3 to run at the same standards as the PlayStation 7, about 50 years ahead.

He doesn't want to blow the minds too hard of these folks.

Scott laughs. "Scooter! Set everything up! Protocols GBS, IMTD, and PSC!"

Scooter bobs. "<font color="orange>Yes sir!</font>" Scooter was happy. Scott finally had people to be friends with, heroes that wanted to be his friend. Scooter was glad to add other to his ranks finally. Plus he really wanted to see how Skeets was at Osmotic Chess. Scooter hadn't seen another drone in months.
