Welcome to Omega

Urdrex checks his weapon again and watches from his position next to Cyrus as the ship pulls into the fire red planet that is Omega. Urdrex has been here a thousand times, and somehow, the place never becomes any more pleasant. In fact, it really only seems to get worse. He'd rather not take the kids, but the Elusive Man wants to see all of them at once, all together.

He will call everyone to the Normandy's War Room while Cyrus getting the ship docked and ready to go.

"Okay, listen up. Some of you may not have been here before, so you need to know some things. First, keep the young ones, Cyrus and Mar'i, in sight at all times. Especially Mar'i. In fact, you'd do well to watch out, too, Katima. There are slavers here who wouldn't mind tryin' to capture and sell all of you off to harems on planets that make this one seem like a resort." Urdrex says, checking his weapons for the seventh time in two minutes. Anyone who knows him knows that this is the equivalent of him pacing the floors nervously.

"Go to the bar, ask for Aria, get into the Holosuite, and listen to the Elusive Man. Again, if you see a Green Lantern, do /not/ attract its attention. You see a Blue Lantern, do /not/ attract its attention.

Anybody got any questions before you move out?" he asks.

	Cyrus bites his lower lip. He would love to point out they have a medical bay but he doesn't know if that would be enough if the boy was hurt planet side. He also thinks his opinion won't count. He's a pilot not a fighter, really. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I think we should get back to the ship to make plans. This place is starting to give me the creeps and I'm not fully certain we're safe here considering that our host was making off-book demands of my beloved. We can best decide what our plans and our strengths are going to be for this particular mission. For what it's worth, both Alerron and I were trained in strategy on Okara."

"Mar'i, we will not let them hurt the boy if he is there. We will find a way to free him and obtain the cure. Cyrus, you know the ship best, yes, but I will also need you when we arrive on the planet. You possess something invaluable that will aid us with the boy." Alerron tells them, considering what he knows of everyone thus far.

He then turns to Katima and kisses her on the nose.

"My love, I need you to lock away your anger and uncertainty. We will need you to aid us on the surface of Iagos...besides, you are cute when you frown, but much more beautiful when you smile." he says.

"The information you need will be waiting for you upon the ship. Aria's request will not be overly taxing. In fact, you'll all be doing the universe a great service by fulfilling it.

Aleea, I'm still going to require that information on the Thanagarian conflict from you before you leave. It's...imperative that I understand what occurred." he says.

	He blinks at the guy who has so obviously become the leader of this group. It's not the Elusive Man either. He has no idea what to think about being needed and nods lightly. "Okay. Tharok came to Earth to capture my friend, Nic, Hawkgirl's daughter. The whole thing was just an insane scheme to make her his bride and salvage his wounded family pride." As Aleea says the name, an HUD screen appears between them, cycling through thousands of faces until it settles on the visage of Tharok without his mask.

Lietenant Kal Tharok, Battle Leader of 7th Thanagarian Fleet Father: Hro Talak, War Master of Thanagarian Forces, deceased.

"Is this the Tharok you saw? Was this...Nic, hurt in any way?" Elusive Man asks intently.

"Were there any human casualties? The Thanagarians are not known for their love of Earthlings after the repelling of their first attempt to conquer." Elusive Man reasons.

	"That was him," she said. Again, something strange in the way the Elusive Man talked. It nagged at her. Like her father, she was a born problem solver, but she didn't have enough data... yet. 	As Aleea talked to the Elusive Man, Katima focused her majority attention on Alerron. "I'm not angry, my love. I'm just anxious. You know I will help you on Iagos. The Elusive Man sits back in his chair, regarding Aleea for a moment as he ponders this information. He has further questions, but he must keep to the task at hand.

"I have knowledge of the former Thanagarian Sleeper Agent known as Shayera. She and her daughter have lived on Earth for some years. Tharok chose a poor target in attacking her. A mother's fury is legendary and I imagine that Shayera did not take to her daughter's abuse well." Elusive Man says.

"I understand, Katima, and I know that you will do your best. We need to focus on what's coming up. We find this cure, this boy, and...then we stop these Reavers that the Elusive Man speaks of.

I will not see any free species be enslaved by beasts. I have seen what Mongul and Kommand'r are capable of, and I will let no one else be subjected to it." Alerron says.

"I want to talk to Mar'i as well, and make sure she is ready for what we must do. She wants to save Seyla, I know, but I will not force her to follow us anywhere else." he says, kissing Katima's cheek.

So the boy Hawk still lives as well. Elusive Man thinks. If Aleea could his face, the Elusive Man would be /smiling/.

"Thank you for the information, Aleea. I will take up no more of your time. You all will need to get to Iagos as soon as possible. I wish you luck." Elusive Man says.

"Cyrus, have Urdrex contact me from the ship, once you're aboard." Elusive Man says.

The connection is cut and Aleea is left alone.
