Corn Maze and a Minotaur
Each year the The Denver Botanic Gardens created a corn maze. Each year the design changed and each year it is one of most attended corn mazes in the country.

It was natural that the minotaur from Grey Myth would show up in a maze and he made the Denver corn maze his home. Attendance quickly dropped off as people entered the maze and never came out. Authorities and the media appeared on the scene to see what was behind these disappearances.

"I've got an idea. Fate, go ahead and make this thing transparent, though, because I get the feeling this fight won't stay in the sky. Hourgirl, go ahead and start rounding up any civilians, then you and Fate go ahead and get them to safety. Once all civilians are out, regroup with us at the center of the maze.

Power Boy, Onyx, Shazam and myself will engage the minotaur. Everyone keep your eyes and ears open.

When Flash and Hawkgirl arrive, I want them on civilian duty, if necessary until all civilians are clear.

Let's move!" Warhawk says, taking to the sky.

	Shazam flies upward, following after Rex. He hopes he could do better now than he has before. this was still a creature of magic, so he and Rex (with his Nth metal weapons and armor) could be better equipped to fight the minotaur. 	The spell Fate had in mind was easy to cast. His fist lights up with an errie golden light and suddenly it is easy to see through the corn field. Almost as if it is made of glass. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Dead, I think," Zandor replied casually while keeping pace with Rex and Will. He spotted the minotaur easily, but waited for Rex to give the order to strike.

When Rex can see the Minotaur, he nods at Power Boy and Shazam.

"Power Boy, lead off. Strike and move out, then Shazam will take a shot. We need to keep him off-balance long enough so that he can't call any back-up to attack Fate and Hourgirl. We harry him until he drops. Onyx, seal us off so this guy can't run for it when things get too heavy." Rex tells her.

"Move in." he tells them, altering his flight-path to streak upward into the sky while he draws his mace.

	Doctor Fate starts to use a teloporation spell. All it needs is for him to see the people he is moving. But it is slower than Wendi doing what she is. Not such a big deal though really. He is still getting people to safety. This is easy for him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Rex had been flying upward as high as he could get before altitude kicked in. At the apex of his climb, Rex tucked his wings and began to divebomb head-first toward the Earth.

Rex wanted to say something to Will and Zandor about playing with their food, but the Minotaur came screaming upward toward him and all Rex could think of was how much fun this was going to be. Drawing his Nth metal mace, Rex lifted it above his head and screamed toward the Minotaur like cannonball.

"Now for the set-up...and the SPIKE!" he yells, bringing the mace down upon the creature with all of his Thanagarian might.

The sound of mace against flesh and bone is the best music Rex has heard all week. He's definitely calling Hope after all of this.

"All right, Steaks and New Boots," Rex says to the Minotaur, "you just got handed a JSA-style ass-kicking and there's more where it came from, in case you've brought friends.

Now, you can walk away, or you can get carried out. I suggest you get back on down the road to whatever maze you wandered out of before we get unfriendly. I'll even ask my buddy Doc Fate to help you get home safe." Warhawk says, settling his mace on his shoulder.
