To Rescue the King of the Seas
Cerdian had given Cait the kick in the ass she needed to get things moving to rescue her father. No one else was going to rescue Arthur. The Atlantis stuff...well that was something she would deal with later. Getting Arthur back on the throne was the most important thing at the moment. Her issues with him could be worked on later. Maybe. It depended on Arthur.

She slipped into her uniform and called AJ, Cerdian and the Titans. They didn't have to go, but she would ask for their help.

A part of Cait was glad she severed her link with Ty. She was on edge right now and it would give Ty more problems than what he currently had.

The three of them followed Ataam into the council chambers. It took a few moments, but eventually the council gathered. Cait knew each of them and gave them each a small nod as they entered.

Cait stepped forward, not waiting for her cousin. "Honored members of the Royal Council. I come before you today to prove that King Orin, my father, still lives and Ataam's claim to the throne is illegitimate."

She looked at Cerdian and nodded.

	Cerdian nods and immediately begins the scrying ritual. The water between the council and Cait begins to swirl, a portion of it becoming a looking glass into the ship. The Council will see King Orin alive and well. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The members of the council talked among themselves for a few moments before they turned back to the gathered people. "This council has come to the decision that Ataam's claim to the throne of Atlantis is invalid in light of the evidence provided. 	Cait hadn't expected an attack. Looking back on it, she should have, but had made the mistake of letting her guard down. The blade sank into her right shoulder. She yelled and tried grab the hilt of the knife and remove it from her shoulder. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait's grip on the knife slipped and it gave him the chance to stab it into her stomach. Cait's eyes went wide when the knife went in. She lashed out with her powers and could feel the water inside of him. Using her powers she stopped the flow of his blood. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ataam was about to stab her again when he felt his blood stop cold. He gasped for air, and he could feel his heart beat slowing. His eyes rolled back and he fell to the ground. He was dead. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	AJ wished he had gotten to Cait's side sooner to help her. He was expecting a fight, but before he knew it, Ataam was dead. AJ looks between Cait and Ataam's body, at a loss for words. He sees that Cait's wounded and kneels next to her. "Get a doctor in here!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Cerdian immediately takes command of the situation.

"Though it was not formally declared, the challenge is still valid under the Old Law. Princess Caitria is the victor and rightful heir and has defended Atlantis!" he says, leaning down now to place his hands over her wound.

He begins to speak another spell, doing what he can to lessen Cait's pain until the medics can arrive.

"Princess Little Fish," he whispers, "you will be just fine. Relax and let me help you." he says.
