Team Meeting
The Titans of myth being freed from Hades goes beyond just the YJLA. The adults are also working on it, but haven't had a lot of luck, especially with so many of their number in semi-retirement. As such, Jon moved beyond his original plan to hold a meeting of his team, and called to invite representatives of the other teams as well, calling all active roster YJLA, and inviting the other teams to send 1-3 people so things didn't get too crowded. Then they can inform their people what's going on.

"So, folks, we have a big problem. The monsters and beings that have been appearing around the world were freed from the dimension Hades. We don't know how or by who. The Olympian gods have not been forthcoming, even to the Amazons, and even very powerful mystics have been unable to pierce the mystery... though past experience has taught us that's often the case with affairs of the gods. They limit their direct interference in mortal affairs, in exchange, mortals have a very hard time dealing directly with them. Sadly, even though the original Grecian Titans don't have any such compact, to learn what happened, we'd need to get past Hades' protections. The Greek gods may be incapacitated, or may be somehow bound by the compact of the gods. Its very possible that once the original Titans reached Earth, their captors couldn't directly interfere."

He sighs. "Direct confrontation isn't the likely answer. Single gods have fought groups including my father, Wonder Woman and a handful of other senior leaguers. Many of the Titans have the power of an entire team. The Titans are more powerful still - the only reason the Greek Gods defeated them was due to greater unity and better tactics. Don't mistake me - they can be beaten, but we're going to need a good plan, and possibly more allies and greater resources. At this point, I'm open to ideas."

"I've broken people up into three teams. One group to go to Olympus and petition to gods for information or help directly, or at minimum to investigate. One group to look into Lex Luthor's connections to all this. That makes us the containment unit. You know the mystic community better than I do. I want you to get as many mystics as possible, and get each one paired up with a small unit that can - if not beat a Titan of myth, since that's near impossible, at least tie one up for a bit until we can get reinforcements there. I think its important that, whatever other powers we can pair up, having some magic in each squad will be critical. I'll do what I can to help, but right now, I think the most important thing I can do is lead the PR effort - try and limit the panic and chaos from people doing stupid things out of fear."

Cerdian nods as he thinks over Jon's words.

"I've only returned to the surface recently, but...I can think of a few people who may know a few people. Zachary Zatara is a friend of friend mine, and he's got some connections. I can get with him immediately and see who we can pull together.

Who's leading each of these teams? Once we know who we're working with, I can point people where they need to go." he says.

"In the meantime, assembling our heavy hitters is probably the best thing to do. Shazam was affected by Atlas' rampage, so I don't know how much we can count on him to have his strength when needed." Rex says.

"I'm no PR guy, Jon, but I sure as hell want another crack at any Titan I can get. Maybe your guys in the League want a shot, too. Any recommnedations? I got Power Boy on my squad who probably wants another shot at Atlas, too." he says.

"That's just it, Rex... I don't want people who want another crack involved. I don't want heavy-hitter hit squads. We're going to lose our big hitters that way. Which is why I'm saying we divide up with one mystic per squad, and if there's not an obvious choice for leadership roles, the mystic is in charge... they tend to be less inclined to go out on the offensive. The chances of taking a Titan of myth down with a three person squad is almost nil unless we stack all our heavies into one or two squads, and then its dicey. I want three to four man squads, one mystic per squad, and everyone to be instructed that first priority is harass and delay, keep them out of population centers, no grandstanding, no vendettas. Hit and run, distance tactics, lead them away... things like that. If someone in a squad is worried someone else is acting like they have a score to settle, I want that person assigned to clean-up and civilian control details. As soon as we have a confirmed Titan sighting, the teams call everyone nearby and use delaying tactics until two other squads arrive. We can space people out with speedsters, mystics who can teleport and others with transport abilities so we can cast a wide net, and still be able to close a gap fast. If any team's mystic can't teleport, that team gets a speedster or some type of transporter."

Cerdian nods in agreement with Jon's idea.

"That makes a lot of sense, Jon. I guess the first thing we should do is figure who we've got available. I know the members of the Titans; Impulse can help with information relay, as can Kid Flash. I'm not great with overland teleportation, so it's probably best that any team I end up with has a teleporter." Cerdian says.

"I can also aid in info relay."

Rex doesn't like the idea of staying wholly on the defense, but he sees the wisdom in it.

"All right. Speedsters should probably be on civilian duty unless absolutely necessary. They can keep everyone in the loop information-wise. Outside of mystics, I need to know how many actual teleporters we have, because if people are casting spells to keep the Titans from wasting their guys, they aren't teleporting anyone.

Cerdian, go ahead and start getting in touch with those other mystic types and I'll send Fate your way as soon as possible, man. As soon as we have a count, we'll decide who goes where." he says.

Cerdian nods and goes to get to work.

"Meanwhile, I guess I need to see a roster of everyone who's available. I've never met some of these people and I'm not sure what they're capable of. We need more time to put something together that won't get people smashed out of the gate." he says.

"I'll give you Alina's contact information, so there's one more mystic. The various people with power rings can also provide rapid transportation in teams that lack teleporters. If your teams have people who speak foreign languages without an accent, have them contact me. I'm working on a public service message... I can get most media outlets to send it out, but people listen best to native speakers. I'll have people translate it, one more way to try and keep panic down. Anyway... I think that's about it for now. Since you're both in on the plan, I'll let you start getting the word out and organizing teams - one mystic and one rapid-transporter on each team, otherwise, mix and match, just try and not have more than one short-fuse per team. I'll be here heading up the PR effort, but once that's done, I'll be available to put into a squad."

"All right, sounds good. I'll have something for you in a couple of hours." Rex nods, going to get the information he needs about the available people for this campaign.
