Dionysos, God of Debauchery, had to get that choosing an Avatar thing done, didn't he? Well here was his candidate right here. He appeared right behind him. "Eli Coyne?"

"No, you're not really on anything that fantastic at the moment, so it's a decent enough time to talk. And I'm confident we won't have any cross-pantheon nonsense, so let's get down to it." A bottle of Jaegermeister and a couple of glasses appear out of nowhere, and the god pours. "You've probably heard that the Titans got loose -- 'Our Titan,' not your little mortal club."

	"Gods really do have that odd little caveat don't they." He takes the drink and waves it around. Then he giggles, he's only halfway sober. "I'd be an atheist if I could be." He flicks his wings out and gets an amused smile on his face.

"How does it work exactly then? I mean is Aquaman gonna give Cait his powers? And isn't that sorta silly since Aquaman's already a superhero?" Eli and Greek mythology know each other tenuously, at best. "I think Batman got turned into Anubis once. Plasticman tried to give him dog biscuits."

	Eli wants to ask 'why me', but he doesn't really want to listen to an explanation of why he'd be a good avatar for a god. It'd just depress him. He doesn't want people to depend on him. He doesn't want a god to depend on him, big or little "g". The mania that infected him a moment before flickers away and he hunches up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The voice goes from amiable drunk to a bit sterner. "It's not that hard. You say 'yeah,' you suddenly feel the equivalent of divine steroids. The next time your cute-little-mortal Titans and associates want to go beat down the actual Titans, you go along with a lot of extra power behind it. This conversation is /mostly/ a matter of formality and good manners. I'm not really planning to start shopping again."
