Not-So-Perfect Night
Mickey was being very cuddly and attentive when her and Steven got out of the movies. The new Tron had been pretty damn awesome...though there were parts where they weren't paying attention.

"So," she said to Steven as they walked out of the movie theater and into the snow-covered streets. "What's next? Dinner...or do we want to go back to the brownstone and work up an appetite?" She grinned at him.

But its not enough. He'll just reform - that's what he does.

Thing is, Steven Garrick has been manipulating energy since the moment he gained self-awareness. Energy he knows.

Around the coherent energy framework shaped like a head, he feels each molecule vibrating slowly apart as he shapes and molds the field, attuning his own vibrations with that of the molecules in the twisted construct Major Force likes to think with.

"Oh, I'm not even halfway done with you, you sick, twisted monster. This world doesn't need you anymore - I can't destroy you, but I can give you a long, long, long time out to think things through." he replies, as he reaches the right vibrational frequency.

Careful, careful now - time was a tricky thing. Of course, this time, he doesn't need finesse, he's not trying to hit an exact point in time. He just doesn't want to disappear back into the speed force, or into time himself.

With a *pop*, he sends Major Force's head-shaped energy somewhere between 4,000 and 4,400 years into the future.

There. Now things can get better.

Then it doesn't. The world doesn't blur, things don't change.

Mickey's body is still lying there. No more resets. Linear time. The vibrations die down to be replaced by genuinely shaking hands as he drops to his knees and cradles his girlfriend's body.
