Dani followed Corsair onto his ship and took a seat. Not really knowing what to say, she waited for them to take off.

Corsair came to the bridge after making sure things were okay in the engine room.

"Yeah, but I wish these things happened a little less, Miss Cage." Corsair says.

"So, you're with us. Got any ideas on where this gem would be?" Corsair asks.

Raza looks at his console. "Adam Warlock's transmitted the suggestion of the Xandarians, along with their last known coordinates. Should we set course, Captain?"

"Set course and get us there, Raza. The sooner, the better. We don't want anyone happening upon that gem that isn't us, and the faster we find it, the closer we come to putting Thanos and his goons out of business." Corsair says.

As the Starjammers and Danielle enter Xandarian space, the sensors show furious conflict coming from the planet. Corasir orders Raza to get him a picture of what's going on and that's when they all see it.

Xandar is under attack.

"Raza, can we get a channel opened up with the Xandarians? Let them know we're here and offering our help, effective immediately." Corsair says.

Raza blinks. Well, Winks. "We're one ship, Miss. While I wouldn't hesitate to join the fray, I'm not sure we could turn the tide trying to defeat .....this."

"Our first objective is finding that Time Gem. We get it and then we assess how else to aid the fight from there. But we can't let those people get their hands on it." he says.

"Wherever his people are going, that's probably the likeliest location of the gem, but he's not going to send all of them in after it. He's probably got someone on foot as well; all the fighting is just the distraction." Corsair notes, grabbing his pistol.

"Ronan, Miss Cage, you're with me. Raza, drop us there, then keep busy while we move in." Corsair points, indicating a spot away from the heaviest fighting.

"Let's get moving, people! We need to get this gem." he orders.

There was a mighty roar and the Nemean Lion swept through the battle field. Giant paws swatted at friend and foe alike. Claws raked at flesh and a Nova corp member was grabbed from behind and got caught in strong jaws with long sharp teeth.

This the lion that fought against Hercules. The blow connected and the lion went flying backward. He roared and charged.

The lion swerved away from the punch at the last second. He regained his footing and balance and pounced.

The battle rages on all around. Unknown to the heroes an invisible force made its way to the gem and grabbed it. When someone bothers to look they will see that the gem is missing.

Raza was in the middle of a damage report when that came over the system, and he just started cursing in various languages few Terrans had ever heard.

"Raza, we help the Nova Corps buy some time until they can win or retreat, and then we head back to the fleet and let them know about this. We'll have to figure out a new game-plan to beat the man, and hope that everyone else is in better position than we are." Corsairs says.

He's not happy at this development and he mentally kicks himself for not being more on top this.
