The Time Gem
Dani followed Corsair onto his ship and took a seat. Not really knowing what to say, she waited for them to take off.

Dani was knocked backwards. She pushed up with her knees at the lion's stomach, to shove him off.

The lion tried to hang on with claws. He couldn't get purchase in skin, but clothes would do nicely. He held on and tried to bite her with his strong jaws.

Her clothes were going to get torn to shreds, but she didn't care. Right now she was just focusing on getting the lion off of her. She brought her arm up to aim a blow at its head.

The blow connected and the lion roared in pain. It hadn't felt something like that in millennia. The lion paused for a moment as it tried to get its wits about it.

Dani threw up both of her arms at the same time, to whack it on both sides of its head.

The lion was a lot tougher than most other lions. It roared and slashed at Dani with it's claws. Its jaws snapped closed very close to her face.

The lion roared in pain but the claw did not come off. He scratched and tried to bite the woman hurting him.

Damnit. She barely managed to dodge the bite.

Her gun. Where was the gun that Corsair's gave her?

The lion roared again and tried to rip the woman to shreds. He also tried to snap his jaws around her head.

Dani's hand found her gun, she grabbed it, bringing inside the lion's mouth. As fast as she could, she drew back on the trigger and fired.
