This time its almost expected.

Just like their first mission last time, the Exiles show up in their first mission together 30' off the ground and falling. Sarah catches herself, switching to hover, and grabs for the nearest non-flyer, reaching automatically for her shield with the other hand.

The land beneath is parched, packed Earth, not much cooler than the desert they just left. The terrain all around is scrub, with some hardy trees and brush providing some cover and shade to the east, and otherwise a lot of nothing in most directions. Definitely nothing in the way of civilization.

	He may not be the toughest, but he's among the most agile of the party. Patriot opens fire on the Rhino, blasting as he rolls out of the way. He knows enough about the Rhino to know to turn his blasters up to high. That should at least sting a little through his thick armor. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The armor is tough, but he's not invulnerable. The stun pistols sting, and he seems to be a little less steady as he skids to a stop on missing his target. Trying to shake it off, he locates Patriot again and rushes at him, swinging a right as he goes. "Ya can't dodge forever." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Patriot ducks and rolls under the swing and out of the way of the charge.

"Longer than you can stand," he replies, firing again and again as he comes out of the roll.

This isn't the way he prefers to fight a target, of course... and spotting some cover in the form of trees and shrubbery some distance away, he begins heading for the cover before Rhino can easily shift direction. Provided he's anything like the Rhino he's familiar with...

This seems to be very similar to the Rhino he knows, probably the same guy even. As for turning, its just as much of a process, especially after several hits from stun pistols.

He finally hits the brakes, and takes a few moments to re-locate his target, just as Patriot is reaching the trees.

"Hey, git away from there!"

Within the shaded area, hidden amidst some of the scrub brush is some type of security monitoring device and a control console, the screen there currently indicating an intruder alert.

"Awww no, the defense net." he grumbles, heading for the brush, but not charging now. He can't see his target, and all indications are that he doesn't want to do more damage to the equipment.

"Knew you were some kind'a saboteurs." he shouts. As he's reaching the brush, pushing aside some of the foliage to try and find Patriot, he can be heard to grumble, "Wizard'll have our heads for sure now."

	The Wizard leads these guys? As in the 'Wingless Wizard'? Patriot moves through the brush and fires again, staying on the move, to keep Rhino unaware of his location at any given moment. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Amidst the thick cover, and surrounded by things he doesn't want to break, Rhino is in a lot of trouble. Spinning to try and find the shooter when he's already had several stun shots just dizzies him. Its not long before his eyes are losing focus, and then, at last, he drops, just as Patriot comes onto a flat metal disk, built into the ground, and another control panel.

With the Rhino down, Patriot pulls out a blade and begins to pry back the cover to the control panel. If he can get in, he might be able to bypass any security and see just what this control panel does.

He's no Stark or Banner, but he's had some SHIELD training, and security systems are his speciality. They have to be for him to be one of the best insertion specialists in SHIELD.

Patriot has fought Dr. Doom often enough to recognize a knockoff of Doom's work. A little investigation reveals this to be a teleportation pad and security station - its linked to two others, which are likely linked to others, forming a security perimeter that seems to cover a rather large area, like, say, most of Australia. If intruders are detected, a group of troubleshooters is teleported onto the pad - which is why they didn't hear Rhino or Stilt-Man coming til they were almost on them.

	At the moment there is just this set of coordinates, and, with typical Wizard foresight, its automatically set to return the team to the main HQ in Sydney. (Reply to this)(Parent)
