Date night?
Having finally got his attention and kept it long enough to actually get a commitment of sorts out of him that required him to leave the lab, Janet turned her sharp little mind to the actual business of getting Hank OUT of the lab and to said commitment.  She'd decided they would go on a date.  A real date.  A date that might end in smooching or better if he was a good mad scientist (and if memory served, yes, yes he was.)  The lure would have to be a cute  outfit, of course, which naturally resulted in a full and busy day of shopping, pedicure, manicure, and other girl-making awesomeness.

She showed up at his lab ten minutes early, a perfect specimen of one smokin' hot Avenger chick who sometimes has wings.

"Hello, Hank."

The urge to tell him that he was such a dork was strong but instead she just snuggled up and settled in. True to her word, she did actually share her popcorn, deliberately letting her hand brush his.

"Good movie choice. You're one more flick closer to redeeming yourself."

"I'm glad you think so," he told her. "This was... great. I can't remember the last time I did something normal like this."

"Probably last decade." She smiled. "Want to go to dinner or do you just want to go back to my place? It's really not far from here."

Well, there's that moment's pause. Jan always did have that effect on him.

"Why don't we go on back to your place," he said.

"Smart man. We can order pizza. After."

As the movie ended she had a firm grip on his hand and she maintained that as they left the theater. She was happy and it was obvious. Her smile stretched her whole face. Jan really was at her best with him.

"I'm glad you wanted to try again."

"You always were better at priorities than me," Hank told her. "I am too."

This was going unusually well, which surprised him. Things did not usually go well for Hank Pym.
