First impressions
It had taken her awhile, but Grace had managed to locate Defenders HQ. Granted, she got lost a couple of times on the way there....but she was there now.

Her heart was beating loudly and felt like it would fall out of her stomach. Her palms were sweaty and her feet felt like blocks of cement.

She could do this. She wanted to do this for seventeen years. Well...granted, she didn't know who her father was until recently, but she'd still wanted to meet him just the same.

Inhaling and gathering her courage, Grace walked up to the door and pressed down on the buzzer.

"Umm...well...my mom uhh..." Grace could feel heart sinking into her stomach, and she tried not to stare at the ground, trying to desperately maintain eye contact. "My mom never really told me who my dad was, you see...and I uhh...started going through her old relationships to see who he might be and I ummm....." She glanced down at the ground, inhaling before she looked back up at Simon. "My father is Simon Williams, you. I'm your daughter, Grace Elizabeth Danvers."

She heaved a sigh of relief. There. She said it.

Simon breathes out. This isn't the first time someone had a mistaken impression.

"You got me on the 'relationship' part," he admits. "But I can't have children." The sting of that never goes away. William, Thomas, Zoey and his co-stars were the closest to having children in his life. Family was right out these days. This was as good as he was going to get.

"I'm happy to do any sort of tests or whatever you want, and you're welcome to stay until the results come in." He shrugs and looks away a little. "I just don't think I can help you."

	Grace sighed. "That's what my mom thought, too," she said, "But...she didn't have any other relationships before she got pregnant with me...other than you. I understand that it seems...impossible. I understand if you want to undergo any tests." (Reply to this)(Parent)
