The Best Laid Plans
The Empress was most pleased. Very pleased indeed. Things were going according to her plan. The recent fights had been entertaining and she had her champion. Now she could win the games here on her home world. Her champion would win no matter what and she now had more soldiers in her army. She was quite pleased indeed.

She was stretched out on her litter as four of her soldiers carried her to the area. It was the start of the games and by the end her champion would be victorious.

Everything was going according to plan.

As Ryan lets his staff be taken from him he retorts back, “Civilized people wouldn’t turn into werewolves to take down a powerless person so I’m the one being wronged by that logic.” While he didn’t want to have to do this he grabs his adamantium knife back-handed and goes on the offensive with a slash hoping his spetnaz knife training would serve him well.

	"There's nothing abnormal about being a Wolf," Moira near-hisses with discomfort as she moves in, even though the knife will graze her despite her partial deflection of it. But she's determined to get a proper hold of the guy. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Once Ryan got started with the knife he made a tactical retreat all the while saying, “I never said being a wolf was abnormal just that it gives you a unfair advantage which I’m try to make up for with my weapons”. He needed to stay out of reach if he was going to have any chance and a knife attack to the back would be his best bet but now was not the to time try for that and using his free hand he threw several crescent darts at Moira.

	The darts were avoided with a drop to a crouch, and she's right there at him again, once more willing to only partially deflect any knife attacks and take the cuts because her arms aren't stopping until they get on him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	As Moira's a very heavy girl for her size, she'll hit the ground with quite an onomatopoeiac whumpf, but spring up before the dust of her landing clears. And yes, that will be before Ryan can get up, because there are occasional perks to being a wolf-demigoddess. She's going to turn back to him and try to grab his arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She was bit heavier than Ryan had expected and hit the ground with a thud as he threw her dropping his knife in the process. Ryan was now starting to breath heavy. By the time Ryan was trying to get up Moira was already on him having already grabbed one of his arms. But not giving up yet Ryan was struggling and attempted a counter kick. 	The kick doesn’t help at all and his struggling doesn’t seem to be doing anything but he still does anyways. She a lot stronger that she looks and Ryan wouldn’t be surprised if he had a hand shaped bruise there later. In a last ditch effort to free himself Ryan grips his last two crescent darts between the fingers of his free to punch her arm with them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Great minds think alike! Ryan took the --well, not the words out of her mouth, but the idea out of her head. Her very hard head, which goes down just violently as his comes up. 	Ryan has a hard head but that head butt has him seeing stars, he’s still conscious but just barely hanging on. Mumbling Ryan manages to says, “You head butt like a girl.” Then his body goes limp from exhaustion as he lies on the ground dazed and fighting to stay conscious. 	He's not in a lot better shape. He'll heal, but the fight with Svalin has him plenty marked up, and dropping an eighth of a ship on himself didn't help either. "This Empress ist false." he snarls. 	He would prefer not to fight his cousin either, though she doesn't have the same status his sister does in his mind. Still, its enough he wasn't expecting the pounce, and she's quicker. 	If Moira were quite herself, she'd of course feel terrible for sucker-pouncing, but then, if any of the girls were quite themselves, the problem at hand would not exist. 	He crashes again as he's pounced, but this time he's more ready. After all, in any circumstance, he'd encourage her to fight hard and dirty, because a real enemy won't give any quarter. 	He's back on his feet, and in a crouch. Once again, he's done himself a disservice. She's lighter and quicker, which means the uneven ground plays to her advantage. Still, he tries to come at her, trying to get hold of her before she can dodge. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
