Just a Misunderstanding
Teleporting was always disconcerting and disorientating. One moment they were in Oklahoma and the next they were in New York City right outside of the Avengers mansion.

Tryggvi reared and pawed at the air. Svalin put a hand on his neck and tried to calm him down. "Easy! Calm down Tryggvi! Please."

A second after their arrival the alarm started sounding.

Having heard the alarm, and there to visit her old man, Chris comes careening around a corner towards the sounds of chaos. "Oh crap... can't a girl just leave Westchester without this?" She hurls off her jacket and rushes down the front hallway, shifting to her catgirl state and then falling to four limbs as she goes a bit further, as much as the size limitations of the doorway will permit.

She bursts out onto the lawn, pouncing at one of the invaders.

	Chris lets out a growling hiss as she plants her paws on the ground, shifting still larger and more tiger-like, until she towers over the intruder. 	The surprise is visible even on a tiger's face, and the claws dig in deeper as her ears flatten against her head. Beautiful? I came out here already shifted, the hell is this guy going on about? Chris shakes the sod loose from her claws as she rips some of the lawn loose, turning and starting in surprise as she sees the shift to match her.

"..whuh..." More with the compliments. Very. Weird.

And then he's attacking her, and the fight makes sense again. She bucks her neck back, slamming her head upwards to meet his own lunge, hoping to catch him by surprise. She bends her knees, preparing to body-slam him as well.

	It's like he can tell seconds before she moves what she's about to do. He slides out of the way, avoiding the attack. "You are like a wild beast! Most erotic..." He shifts back to a human appearance, and he tries to grab hold of her back. "Of course, a good riding will take most any wild beast..." He gives her a wink. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The giant cat hisses and Chris shrinks down to her default 'anthro' state. Not as much raw power, but a hell of a let harder to lose track of this bastard. She grapples with him. "I don't care that your friends are attacking mine, I'm going to thrash you just for being a creepy perverted bastard!" She snarls as she grabs at him. Banter. Sucks. SO much. 	Chris falls back, having learned from both Wolverine and Captain America how to take a fall with the least impact. She digs a clawed hand into the ground and hurls dirt at his eyes. "It's creepy because that's not what I AM!" She jumps back to her feet and swings a leg, increasing in size right before the point he usually dodges at, to extend her reach. He closes his eyes before the dirt makes impact, and leaves them closed, still jumping over the increased size of her leg. "You don't believe you are beautiful? Oh, this is most tragic..."

His leap takes him in a graceful arc over her head, and he finally opens his eyes as he attempts to grab her behind the back of her neck, as one would grab a kitten.

"Allow me to show you your beauty."

	He seems to know where her claws will be moments before they land, and he avoids them artfully. "Treating you as one does a kitten, despite your obvious maturity. Okay, that does it.

This is going to hurt. She knows it's going to hurt. Every bit of testing both her dad and Professor Xavier have done has told her she shouldn't use her powers like this, that it's unsafe.

Bur right now she's a little too angry and offended to care.

She shifts fast, faster than likely any of the Avengers present have seen her do so, to full size. Over a ton of tiger crashes down on the intruder.
