Passing the time (Open to visitors)
Anya paced back and forth in the small cell. She was bored. Lady Mandarin and Temujin were gone, but she was being kept here for observation for awhile. At least they had given her the (modified) Kindle she owned.

Though right now she was tired of reading. She just wanted her laptop. If she had her laptop she could be writing code and right now she'd worship the person who brought the laptop to her. She could at least distract herself a little better not to mention get some of the projects she had been meaning to do finished.

She had hoped Sarah would be down to visit so Anya could beg for forgiveness. It tore at her heart and her soul what she did to Sarah. There was penance that needed to be done and forgiveness that needed to be begged for.

They could have at least given her a cell phone so she could talk to people.

Anya grumbled and kept pacing.

To save Steve was currently conflicted would be an understatement. Happy beyond words that Anya was alive and okay, but angry that that bastard Mandarin had again gotten his hooks into her, and angry at himself that he'd been nowhere near to protect her or even play the smallest part in her rescue.

Some boyfriend he was.

And worse, there was the fact that Natasha was missing and that Toni had been captured as well. Neither would be welcome news, but he doubted he could keep them out of his mind well enough to hide them from Anya.

He arrived at the X-Mansion and after a quick vetting for security purposes, was shown to her cell. Small tears dotted his eyes.

"Missed you, Gorgeous."

	She stopped and turned on a heel. Her eyes went wide as a look of surprised appeared on her face. "Steve!" She went over to the clear plexi-glass like barrier of the front of the cell. She put her palms against hit. "I've missed you too. So much." Curse the barrier separating them. She wanted nothing more than to feel his arms around her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I was the one who got involved with that bastard without thinking. My fault."

She took a deep breath.

"But it's over. He's sitting in a cell and Lucas got him and the Lady Mandarin out of my head for good. It's finally over."

She tried to smile for him. "I'm fine. You can't get rid of a Stark that easily. I'll be out of here soon and then...well I'll be around. I can't go back to school and I can't be an Avenger, so I'm going to have a lot of free time."

	It was too bad, really. They could definitely use Anya on the team right now. He wished he'd had the guts back then to tell her how he'd really felt about her making such a stupid decision. But given the number he'd pulled, calling others on their boneheaded moves wasn't his style. "I'm glad," he said instead. "Not the free time thing, but the back thing." 	They have to wheel him in. Temujin had had time to work him over, almost, but not quite undoing his recovery from the bomb blast. The telepaths had warned him away from his daughter while the recovery took place. He was pissed, and found a way to ensure a final victory while she recovered herself.
