Particularly with the extra help, Vernique didn't take long to whip up some properly local fashion. Once everyone was outfitted who needed to be, she preened a bit -- that was just unavoidable. "Well, now that everyone looks acceptably fantastic: off to town to look for signs of Kang Was Here?"

	One vampire is beheaded with one swing of Svalin's sword. Another is shocked and goes still for a moment. Another goes flying through a wall and doesn't get up right away. But there are plenty more rushing onto the scene. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Vernique may need to make the day's charge last the rest of the night. So she pockets the gun for a moment, flits over to splinter a small but substantial length of wood off of some fire-damaged cart-frame. And sets all of her considerable strength and speed, albeit on a tiny scale, to flying it straight at the next vampire's chest and driving it home. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Between the vampires and the two new attackers, Eli sees that their team is quickly growing outnumbered. He concentrates for a moment, and then seems to multiply, creating two more dopplegangers of himself to aid in the fighting.

Eli One forces a vampire to the ground with his telekinesis as Eli Two moves forward to bring his foot down into the creatures head and through the hard ground.

Eli Three fires bolts of cosmic energy at the next vampire he can see, covering Svalin's back as she engages others.

	Svalin's sword impaled one vampire and another was impaled by the wood driven in by Vernique. One vampire struggles under Eli's foot before his head is smashed in by a double's foot. Brains and blood start oozing out into the street. Another vampire disintegrates in the blast of cosmic energy. Still more come. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	My, my. Three Elis. Pity Vernique has to concentrate on the matter at hand. Unable to match either of their violent efficiency, she resumes zapping at the zombies a bit while trying to ascertain.... "How many of the damn things are there?" she asks in exasperation (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Sadly, it seems there are more of them than us, Beautiful Flower." Eli Prime calls out. He vanishes and reappears at Svalin's back, blocking that angle of attack to any of the vampires who wanted to come at her.

Eli's Two and Three try to stem the tide of oncoming attackers, but for every one they put down, it seems that three more take their place.

"We will be overwhelmed if this continues as it is! We must find either the source of these creatures, or get to better ground!" Eli Two says, tearing the head from another vampire.

	"Run if thou must, Eternal! The Shield of Asgard wilt not give ground!" Svalin yelled and her sword kept moving. She pulled her extra sword from its sheath on her back and started swinging with that one. Vampires went down two at a time. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Yeah, but we can't leave the others, and it's hard to see where we could head these things off. Hard to see anything...

After a moment's thought, Vernique switches her aim to a small and particularly dry-looking patch of brush amongst the vampires. It looks small enough that it shouldn't get out of control, but nevertheless, if the sparks are enough, it could prove...convenient in the middle of the oncoming crowd.

Well, that settles it. Eli will not be known for running from the battle while others stayed to fight. He redoubles his efforts to keep the vampires at bay, gesturing in the direction of a particular vampire and closing his fist violently; an invisible hand crushes the creatures throat and tosses it back into the darkness.

Eli Two and Three smash the heads of two more vampires together as the fight rages on.

The vampires keep coming, but they seem to be a little more hesitant now after seeing what happened to their brethren. Two went down under Svalin's swords.

The brush caught fire and started to burn. It caught the clothes of two vampires and they started to burn. They started to scream.

One was crushed by Eli's invisible hand and two more are crushed by the duplicates.

Eli Prime watches in awe as Svalin charges into the vampires and wonders if there are more Asgardians like this Goddess. If any of the Deviants had been like Svalin, Eli knows the battles to retake Polaria and Olympia would have been even more pitched than they were. Perhaps he should learn to use a sword...

Two follows Svalin into the fray as Three concentrates and crafts the illusion of the blaze growing larger in order to make the vampires hesitate further. Perhaps between Svalin's onslaught, Vernique's counter-fire and the flames, these creatures will think better of continuing this battle.

	The vampires did slow a bit. There weren't nearly as many as before and the fire made them hesitate. Vampires fell under Svalin's swords as she charged her way through them. One was stopped by Vernique's shot. Others fall before the Eternal and his duplicates. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"For Asgard!" Svalin yelled again and her assault became more intense. Her swords were almost a blur. Sometimes she stabbed and other times she would swing. Either way a vampire went down before her blades. (Reply to this)(Parent)
