There were times when Nick Fury hated his job. Now was one of them. Stark and Tasha had been brought into S.H.I.E.L.D. medical not long after the bomb went off and had been immediately isolated. It wasn't good. Natasha had some third degree burns, a broken arm and a concussion. She got off lucky compared to her husband.

Stark was a lot worse than his wife. Third degree burns over most of his body, shattered ribs, punctured lung, compound fractures in one leg and one arm. It was amazing the man was alive. Though he had to give Stark credit. He had used his body to shield Tasha from most of the blast. Stark was in isolation, the bed surrounded by plastic and only people in sterilized outfits and masks could enter. The worst things about bad burns was the risk of infection.

Forensic teams were already going over the what was left of the car. Not that they would find much, but if they did find anything it could lead to the identity of the person trying to kill Stark. It was Stark's car and Nick had to believe he was the target and not Tasha.

Now came the hard part. Nick dialed his godson's number.

	Eliza reaches over to hug Anya. She didn't like seeing her sister upset like this. She knew it would take a long time for Tony and their Mom to be up and about but for now they were safe. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It was at times like this that James realized how lucky he was to have come to a dimension where he had family and that family stuck by each other no matter how weird it was. He appreciated them even more. He put a hand on Misha's. "Does anyone else need to be called? I can call the Avengers." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Anya hugged her sister. "I'll call the Young Avengers and I have to talk to Pepper anyway." It suddenly seemed like there was a ton of things that needed to be done. First was to talk to a doctor. She knew Mom would bounce back. The woman was lucky to have a healing factor. While it wasn't as good as Logan's, it was still better than a baseline human.

Dad was the one with more injuries and no healing factor. Though he did have nanites. Old ones, but they were there. The question was if they were programmed for repairing injuries or not. Anya would have to find out, but first she had to see them.

She started walking down the hall to where Misha had been standing when they first saw him.

Eliza frowns slightly and looks over at James. "Should I call for her? The team I mean. She has other things that she feels like she has to do."

Eliza knew in that way Anya was totally Tony's. She had that kind of drive to do things that Eliza just didn't have.

She shakes her head finally giving up on trying to think of what she could do to make it easier. "I'll be with Anya, guys. I'm sure she'll find out things I want to know if I hang around her and the doctor she looks ready to question."

So Eliza follows Anya. If Anya flusters the doctor maybe she'll have to rescue him.

"Right now we're all in a holding pattern." He turned and motioned James to follow him to the observation window. "Getting crazy on the doctors here won't impress them. They've seen and handled worse than us."

He slowed his steps, his voice lowering. "Until we know who and why, Anya and Eliza go nowhere alone. I need you to contact the Young Avengers. Me, you, or one of them need to be with the girls at all times. Okay?"

	"Mom's going to be okay. They're keeping her unconscious so her body will heal faster. Tony will be too, but he's going to take a long time." Misha hoped to hell he wasn't blowing sunshine at James. He hadn't heard a positive thing yet about Stark's condition. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
