Silence is Golden
How dare they? How dare they not see her talent and cast her as the leading role!? It was the performance of her life and they said "a mime could do better". Marylynne was infuriated. How dare they not see how wonderful she was? Were they blind?

She'd show them. Mimes were...nightmare inducing and so...argh! A mime! She'd give them mimes if they wanted mimes!

Times Square was considered the crossroads of the world and the perfect place to pull this off. She strolled through the crowd, smiling and briefly touching each person she passed. One touch and they were hers. They stopped talking in mid-sentence and started pantomiming.

Marylynne smiled as she continued to walk around Times Square turning the lovely citizens and tourists into mimes.

	It didn't take long to get to Times' Square and it was eerily quiet for Times' Square. Usually one couldn't hear themselves think, but today it was a lot quieter. Kal landed gently next to Jack. "What happened? Are you okay?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He shrugged, and took his sketchpad and a charcoal pencil from his backpack. He was never without both items. He flipped through until he found a blank page. It just happened. People stopped talking and started behaving like clowns and mimes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Okay. This was weird, even for New York. "I'm going to look into your mind and see if I can see what happened. Just try...to relax." Kal had some practice with this, but not much. 	He didn't like it much either, except when they were playing and he thought images at her to make her smile or laugh. Another urge to act like a mime hit, to pose as one thinking really hard and then miming an idea, but he didn't. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Kal only bothered with his most recent memories and eventually saw his run in with the blond. She went a little farther back and it became clear that whatever happened started when the blond touched him.

She sighed. There was only one way to take care of this. She exerted her will and took over his mind. She implanted the thought that he wasn't a mime and that he could talk.

	"So everyone else here acting weird thinks they're mimes." The police had arrived and were trying to gather up the would be mimes. Some of which were running back and forth like circus clowns.
