Celebrating The Birth of a Nation

Across the great nation of the United States of America people everywhere celebrate the freedoms that they enjoy, the history, government, and traditions of the United States with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events.

Kal loved the 4th of July and the fireworks. There was something about exploding things that always fascinated her. She would spend the day with Jack and find a great place to watch the fireworks.

She was thinking that either atop the Empire State Building or on top the Statue of Liberty would work.

Jack was ready to spend it anywhere Kal wanted. The view was always great when she was there.

Kal sat next to Jack on top of the Statue of Liberty and leaned against his shoulder. Fireworks exploded overhead and the man she loved was next to her. Life was good.

Fireworks were beautiful, but for him they were only background to Kal. It was a great way to spend the evening.

He had other plans on how to spend the night.
