Heaven's Wherever You Are (Sat 10th)
Kalypso's own birthday had become meaningless to her as she would see way too many, but it didn't mean that others birthdays weren't important to her. Jack's birthday had come and Kal had to do something special for him. It had taken some time to come up with something, but Kal had managed.

She thought about the Blue Area of the Moon and nice picnic, but that had already been done. While it had been an extremely good time, Kal wanted something different. The idea came to her during a visit to Olympia. The city was still being rebuilt after the Deviants' attack, but the gardens managed to remain untouched. The gardens were the perfect spot for a birthday celebration and wouldn't overwhelm Jack's senses too much.

Kal had gone to a few of Jack's favorite restaurants and got some of his favorite foods. With heightened senses, Jack's taste tended to run on the not-spicy or heavily flavored foods. Kal was the opposite and loved foods that were flavored with many herbs and spices. Somehow they always managed to find places to eat that accommodated both of their likes.

Food. Check. Wine. Check. Water. Check. Blanket check. Change of clothes for both of them. Check. Kal now had quarters in Olympia and she didn't plan on the two of them coming back after their picnic. There was no rush to come back. Birthday gifts. Check. It looked like everything was ready to go. She packed the food items into the picnic basket and packed the presents and blanket into a tote. Now it was time to get the birthday boy.

Kal left via window and flew over to Jack's place.

In a heartbeat they went from New York to Olympia. Kal brought them directly to the gardens. She didn't want to run into any of her family and answer any questions about Jack's presence. It wasn't that mortals weren't allowed in Olympia, it was just that they weren't common and there would be questions.

They arrived in the middle of lush green gardens. Flowers were in bloom and the air was heavy and warm. Not far from where they were was the cold harsh environment of Antarctica.

Kal smiled. "It's the perfect place for a picnic." There was even a small stream running through the greenery.

	He moved to help with the blanket and put the basket in a corner. "When people ask me what I did on my birthday and if I got anything good, I'm going to smile knowingly and say it was an okay day. All the while I'm jumping up and down on the inside." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"I'm only human, sweetheart. You'll have to feed me." He continued nibbling done her neck to her shoulder. "You're very tasty." Real hunger had to take over. He was out of bed and hadn't eaten yet, and his nose told him that the basket held delicious things. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He chuckled to think of Sersi behaving herself. He adored Kal's mother, partly because she enjoyed herself no matter where she was and what she was doing, and partly because she approved of him.

"I think she'll be okay." He peered into the basket and grinned. "You've been paying attention." With his senses, food had to be on the bland side for him to enjoy it. Raw was best and he was looking at a large container of greens with raw vegetables and chucks of meat and cheese. Containers of olive oil and ... he inhaled ... fresh hummus mmmm...and a loaf of crusty bread...it all smelled good.
