Catching some rays (open)
Izzy took a towel out to the lake and stripped down to her bikini. She spread out her towel on the ground and laid down on it. The sun was out, and Izzy had every intention of getting something resembling a tan before the summer was over.

The world wasn't being attacked by alien invaders or there wasn't some other crisis that required the X-Men's attention. And surprisingly enough, she didn't have a training session today. Today was about just lying under the sun and relaxing.

"In the words of Spongebob, 'Ah'm ready'", Izzy said, standing up on her board.

"Who's Spongebob?" Cassidy asks, standing up (albeit shakily) on his own board.

No, he doesn't have any clue who Spongebob Squarepants is.

"A cartoon character," Cait said. She pulled water to give Cassidy and Izzy good sized waves, but not big enough for them to be unable to handle. For herself she pulled up a bigger on. "Now watch," Cait said as she caught the wave and popped up to her feet.

"He's not that bad in small doses. Which is why Ah only watch him on Saturday mornings, when Ah have mah blow of Captain Crunch." Izzy stood up her board, surprisingly steady.

Cassidy watches Cait take the wave, trying to keep several things in mind as he does so. The foremost being that, if he over-thinks this, he will end up in the water.

"Captain Crunch is amazing. Crunch Berries are the best." he says, standing up on his board. He manages to stay steady on the small waves, and considers this a victory.

"Nothin' beats the original," Izzy said, "Though Ah am partial to Crunch Berries. Ah could eat Captain Crunch all the time for every meal. Seriously."

"I'm a fresh fruit kind of person myself," Cait said. Growing up in the jungle one didn't really get brand name cereal. Fruit on the other hand was a main staple of Nova Romans' diets.

Cait pushed the waves forward a little faster.

Cassidy smiles at Izzy's like of Crunch Berries, which is awesome.

"Fruit is cool, too, though. I like apples." he says.

"Ah like apples. Also peaches."

"Peaches are great. I love peach iced tea, especially. It's the best iced tea there is." Cassidy says.

He manages to steady himself on the board and settles into a rhythm as it moves. As long as he doesn't start thinking, he should be fine!

Cait kept the waves for Izzy and Cassidy from getting too big for them to handle and yet kept them from getting too small to surf. Her wave was considerably larger.

"I like the 'normal' fruits, but there are a lot grown in Brazil that you can't get here. Jabuticabas, pitanga, jackfruit, graviola, carambolas and guava to name a few."

"You'll have to bring some of those up next time you come back from a visit home, Cait," Izzy said. "Ah bet those would help make a killer fruit salad.

"Those sound pretty good. I agree with Izzy, but I bet a lot of them would be good with ice cream, too." he says.

"They are," Cait said as they rode the waves toward shore. "Though there's no ice cream in Nova Roma and the fruits are almost impossible to get here. Never the twain shall meet, or something close to that."
