Team Awesome vs Galactus (backdated to July 4)
Galactus was a cosmic being who needed to feed on the life forces of planets. Currently he was about to feast on a planet which was also the home of George, a small alien who had been residing on Earth. A small ship docked with Galactus' world ship, the crew intent on stopping Galactus from feeding on the planet.

	Daniel is strong, tough and fast, but Galactus' toy is in another league. It took a near nova blast to stop it in the main story he knows of it, and he can't match that. 	"Damnit." he snarls, picking himself up again, shaking off the stars before his eyes. He tries briefly to tear up a section of the ship, only to find that whatever Galactus made it from, its a bit beyond being torn into ammunition, and he loses valuable seconds before he's trying to close again. He watches in horror as it levels its weapon. It has her practically in hand, and Ellie doesn't look like she's in any shape to teleport. He never should have brought the kids here...

A moment ago, he was too slow. Fast, but certainly not able to match the cat's blasters. That was a moment ago. In a blur, he darts into the way of the blast, which torches his shirt, but doesn't move Daniel as he interposes himself between Ellie and the robot in a desperate instant.

"Alright ya bucket of bolts, ITS CLOBBERIN' TIME!"

	The Cat of course didn't have any reaction to the kid suddenly showing up in front of him. It just assessed the new situation and brought a large robotic hand down to smash the boy where he stood. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Daniel catches the hand as it swings down. Planting one hand on the wrist, still holding the trapped fist with the other, despite their size and previous strength difference, he tears the hand off of the robot, before throwing it at the Cat's head. 	The Cat seemed unaffected by the sudden loss of a hand. The disembodied hand hit the robot's head with a clunk and made the thing pause for a second before the other hand came down to smash the kid in front. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He wasn't expecting it to recover quite so quickly or entirely. Thankfully, realization of what he's done hasn't caught up with him, and he still feels like he's protecting Ellie. Even so, the smash drives him three feet into the advanced alloy floor.

There's a moment of struggle before there's a terrible grinding and tearing noise, as this time, he succeeds in tearing through the material of the ship, fighting his way free and launching himself at the robot's torso.

	The Cat was a little slow in reacting to the sudden attack. Daniel hit the Cat in the middle of the chest. His fists go through the metal and exposed the working innards of the Cat. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ow! owowowowow. As he punches through the hide, there's a sizzling sound as Daniel's hand is exposed to hard radiation and electrical jolts. Still, he finds something solid, grips as best he can, and tears. They have to find a way to shut this thing down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Cat tried to pull the boy away from his chest with his good hand. The power systems were shorting out from the disruption in the chest, but circuits were being rerouted to keep the power going. More goo started spraying from the robot's mouth. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Daniel is hit with the goop, paralyzing him. But he still has a hold of various wires and internals, still connected, but stretching now. He's not sure if its going to be enough.

As the goop is washing over him, holding as tight as he can, he yells to Ellie, "Grab a handfull'a wires and teleport... its not alive." before he can't even speak anymore. He's going to have to trust her to finish it off.

	Ellie nodded, doing just that. She grabbed as many wires as she could and teleported across the room, hopefully taking them with her. When she'd teleported, the wires remained in her hands. She looked over to see if Daniel was okay. And to see if that had managed to finish the cat off. But mostly, to see about Daniel. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
