Checking on the home team
Commander Fontaine, Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., made the rounds when the special ops team came back in. After their last disastrous outing, she wanted to make sure they were still in one cohesive piece. The reports had been favorable.

She hadn't met the newest member yet, though she knew the contents of his file. She'd been the one to have it sent to Sammy for consideration. Her little gun nut, and Walker and Dugan, could always use someone with the ability to build a better gun.

Sammy's report had been terse but informative. The others' a little more informative. Landon was next on her list.

	She followed directions, proving that at least when in pursuit of dessert she could, and slid into a parking spot. "If the ice cream is incidental, why bother with it? 	"Because Gran would kill me long before diabetes did." he answers simply. "However,you make a good case for leaving out ice cream. But I don't think all of that would go so great without ice cream. "Come now, beautiful. Ah wouldn't dream of tellin' yah t'limit yourself on coffee. I like not gettin' shot." he grins, reaching out to pat Fury's hand.

"Now, you run on in and Ah'll wait right here for yah." he says, leaning back in the seat. The idea of watching her walk away appeals to him greatly right now. So do a few other things regarding Fury and movement, but he was trying to keep those thoughts in moderation, too.

	Sammy was no heathen. The ice cream would be chocolate chocolate chunk (she didn't find the coffee ice cream). She located the soda, which sounded perfectly disgusting to her, and the whipped cream and cherries as well as chocolate syrup and sprinkles. 	Tech, meanwhile, was napping while she was in the store. Good.dreams abounded, mostly, until he dreamed that Jake asked.him to choose between his family and S.H.I.E.L.D. 	That was an odd comment to make just now, but Tech didn't dwell on it. He simply relaxes in his seat and watches the night pass by as they drive. "Jake has no love for S.H.I.E.L.D. especially since you guys busted him. He wasn't wild about the idea when I pitched it to him, but he wasn't in a position to object, either." Tech tells her. 	"He's not in much of a position to demand anything for a very long time. I've seen it before. He doesn't seem to have much capacity for thinking outside him or his own little world where he's the star and everyone else are playing bit parts. 	"I think you'll surprise yourself." She half expected to see his grandmother waiting at the door. Evelyn clearly worried about her grandsome, and Sammy had heard how gossipy small towns were.
