Getaway
It had taken some time and a lot of hints and suggestions, but Natasha had finally convinced Tony to take a few days off and go somewhere else. Natasha was getting cabin fever and had to get out of the penthouse for a little while. She would shoot someone if she didn't get a change of scenery and she would need her husband around after the baby came.

It was nice on Martha's Vineyard this time of the year and it was close enough to New York that if something happened they could get home easily enough. The yacht was nice, but Natasha wanted dry land under her feet and places to shop. She loved the small quaint shops on the Vineyard and she would convince her husband to take her shopping.

They got settled in at Tony's house on the Vineyard after a four hour drive (and many stops to use the bathroom) and a short ferry ride over to the island. As soon as they were settled, Natasha went to find her husband to see if he wanted to go for a bite to eat. Someone was demanding french fries.

	"Honestly, I think I've had my fill of armored kids, too. It may be a sign of my old age, but I'm starting to forget what all of them do, from time to time." Tony says. Tony wasn't sure they'd fine anything she liked there, but he was willing to go through each store one by one until she found things she wanted. He escorts her to the Antique Store and opens the door for her so she can go inside.

He sees a couple of lamps that might look nice in the penthouse, and a table that would look great in the Malibu house.

"Hm. Not a bad selection here." he says. "See anything you like?"

	Tony walks up behind his wife at the case, and he politely asks the owner if they can see the ring in question. He'll let her study the ring, while he silently makes eye contact with the cashier. He nods as if to say "I'll take it", while Tasha continues to look. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Natasha handed the ring back to the clerk with a smile. "Thank you." Natasha wandered over to a bookshelf to check out the selection. One could usually find first or second editions of books in stores like this. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Tony follows his wife and tries to find which items are catching her attention. When she falls asleep tonight or tomorrow, he'll be back here picking everything she showed more than a passing interest in.

Something about that ring seemed to have gotten to her, though, so that would go home with them this evening.

"Do you know how sexy you look when you're just perusing?" he asks.

"All right. Then we'll go do that. But did you see that shelf of books over there?" he asks, pointing to her left.

He didn't want his wife to see him pick up the ring, hoping to surprise her when they were back home.

"See if there's anything you like there. I don't want you leaving without anything at all." he says, turning to take the ring from the cashier behind her back.

	Tony mentally commends himself on his stealth abilities and silently pays for the ring and slips it in his coat pocket. When done, he returns to his wife, kissing her on the shoulder. "If it's in Russian, you should buy it and read it to me." he suggests. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Hey, now, wait a minute." Tony says as they walk to the door.

"You stole me from my wife, and now you're just giving me /back/? First of all, I feel used. Secondly, you can't just /give me back/. I mean, you should at least challenge her for the right to keep me. There should be an epic battle with car chases, a shootout, and possibly a make-out scene between the two of you." Tony says, feeling that such is the least of his worth.

"Okay, you and the wife can at least have a catfight and argue over whose feet I'm rubbing first." Tony says.

"I'd punch out your husband for you." he grins.

	Tony likes this idea already and smiles. "Bed, it is." he says, helping her to their bedroom. As soon as she is comfortable on the bed, Tony will remove her shoes for her and set them aside. 	"Actually, it's more of a surprise." Tony grins, using the dreaded S-word. He knows she hates surprises, but he can't help ribbing her over it, even if it's one he's sure she'll like. He pulls the ring box out of his coat pocket and hands it over to her, then returns to working on her feet, leaning down to kiss her ankles. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"You spoil me, Mr. Stark," she said with a smile and slipped the ring on a finger. "Better not let your wife find out."

Though she hate surprises, she could let this one go since his hands were doing a wonderful job on her feet.

The young Stark inside of her decided Mom was way to content and comfortable and started a fresh bout of vigorous kicking.

Natasha groaned and put a hand on her stomach.
