Teaming Up
The Masters of Evil had attacked the Thunderbolts headquarters and had made off with Victor's body and with it a way to eventually access Ultron's files on the Avengers. It was a situation where a collaboration of the Thunderbolts with another team was needed. They needed to get Victor's body back as soon as possible.

The Thunderbolts made the trip to New York and were gathered in the conference room at Avengers Mansion along with the Avengers. They needed to discuss strategy and form a plan to retrieve Victor's body.

Anya sat back in her chair and let her brother take the lead. James was more experienced with leading a team and if anyone could get them to all work together as one big team, he could.

He dislikes using cheap tactics. He wants to prove himself against Iron Girl... not Iron Girl and friends. He's sure he'll get other chances though.

He fires two missiles... revealed a moment after they miss both girls by a wide margin to be cluster bombs, bomblets firing off all directions over the city. He speaks to Iron Girl in Russian as he does so.

"You might be able to shoot them all down. You might not. Stand down and let our ground forces retreat, and I will not detonate the bombs, you have my word."

Or they can try and intercept them all - that's fine too, it will get them off the MoE either way. Likewise, he says nothing about them stopping Egghead or getting Victor back. He's aware there's some heavy grade info in there - and while he'd like it, they might put recovering that above anything else - and right now, he's content to ensure that the MoE escape, even if it costs them this one plan.

	Toni frowned, and was about to ask if Anya was sure, but decided against it. She knew enough about artillery to recognize, on some level, what had been fired. She took off, gathering up energy for an EM pulse. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Nyet!" He's too late though. As the guidance systems go offline, there's a series of massive explosions all over at altitude. 	Anya swore as the suit shut off. She thought that she had gotten the shielding right, but apparently she hadn't. On top of that the lower half of her body went numb. Ground meet Anya. Anya meet ground. Hard. Good: The lower half of her body couldn't feel the impact. Bad: The upper half of her body could feel the impact. Yup, definitely going to be sore after this.
