Battle In the Skies
The Avengers had a few days to go over the intel that Tony Stark and Captain America provided. It had been a time to rest and recuperate from any injuries sustained on their last mission.

The quiet was about to be shattered.

Alarms went off all over the flying airship. They were under attack by the forces of the Red Skull and the Skeleton Crew. Each member was on a flying platform with ten other troops, all armed with laser weapons and swords.

From a purely academic perspective, he supposes he's doing his job admirably. Any shots coming at him aren't coming at the ship. He can't fire on them, because he's unwilling to let them fall to their deaths, but perhaps they'll get desperate enough to engage in hand to hand? For now, they're doing more or less exactly what he'd hoped. Well, aside from answering his questions.

"I admire your tenacity, if not your intelligence. Do you feel like this is getting us anywhere?"

Iason lets the man lunge, making sure he gets a good grip, grabbing hold of the front of Jack's shirt before flying up higher away from the flying vehicle, blasting down at it with his other hand.

"It seems you have me... but only one of us flies under his own power. It seems I have two choices to offer you... surrender, or see how long you can hold on. I assure you, I can stay up here as long as it takes."

"Put me down! Put me down!" Jack yelled. Then he realized where exactly he was. "No! No! Don't let go! I surrender!"
