Unexpected Company
To say that she was uncomfortable would be a huge understatement. Natasha was huge, clumsy, and very awkward. With two weeks left in this pregnancy, she just wanted it to be over already. Knowing her luck, this kid would be late prolonging her discomfort.

Currently she was stretched out on the couch with her feet up. Her ankles were swollen and achy and her back had been hurting almost non-stop. All of it just helped to make her cranky, which is probably why Tony was down in the lab. There had been a lot of growling and grumbling this morning and her husband had retreated out of the line of fire. Natasha was enjoying the last few moments of quiet she would get in a very long time.

That quiet was about to be interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing.

Natasha sighed and slid off the edge of the couch, carefully getting to her feet. It had to be someone they knew since not just anyone could get up here.

She opened the door was a little surprised to see who was standing there.

"Nick?"

"Yes, that will help. I need to know what...these people have done with my work." Tony says, almost giving up Maggie's name. He'd like nothing more than to put Fury on his sister's trail, but if she sees him coming, she'll go to ground and there might never be a way to fix this.

Tony also realizes that he's got to go to Los Angeles now and talk with Sydney and Andy. They need to know what's going on in case Maggie comes at them. Andy doesn't have much to do with things, but working with Sydney makes him a target. Besides, Jennifer and Hercules wouldn't take it well if something happened to their son because of a member of Tony's family.

"Thank you for bringing this to me, Fury. I appreciate that, if nothing else." Tony says.

	Nick nodded. "I'll have 'em brought over asap along with my agent." "How's Tash?" Nick asked. He knew what he would get if he asked her how she was doing and Tony was more likely to give him a more accurate report. Not that Nick didn't know. Doctor reports on all of his agents were kept on file and Nick had been checking up on her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Sore, swollen and a little cranky at times. She tosses and turns all night, but she never complains. I think she's holding off on shooting me until after the baby comes, so that she can see if she still wants to." Tony chuckles.

"I can tell she's ready to do /something/, even if it isn't going back to work, Nick. The baby will keep her attention for awhile, but we both know how she is. Eventually, she'll get back into the swing of being a spy, even if it's just a little bit at a time." he says.

By then, just about every secret Tony had been keeping from her would be out and she'd probably never forgive him.

"Better her shooting you than me," Nick said with a grin. "Look, I ain't gonna kid ya an' say that I wouldn't be glad t' have her back. She's the best there is, but I think this time she's done for good. Haven't seen her like this for as long as I've known her. Not even when she got involved with Horn Head."

"Yer a lucyk man, Stark. Just remember that. Tasha's one helluva a woman."

"Funny thing is, I really thought she was going to choose Daredevil over me. Wouldn't have blamed her, either. They'd been carrying on almost as long as she and I have." Tony says, looking at Nick.

"And on that, we both agree. I love Tasha enough to put up with it if she did decide she wanted to go back to work, but I wouldn't be happy about it. She loves being a mother, though, and worrying about her kids. I wouldn't be surprised if you've got to stick your people on Eddie as soon as he crawl around on his own." Tony chuckles.

	"Horn Head had too many issues for Tasha to deal with. Man caused her a lot o' grief." Nick shook his head. "I think she's done with the business.
