Unexpected Company
To say that she was uncomfortable would be a huge understatement. Natasha was huge, clumsy, and very awkward. With two weeks left in this pregnancy, she just wanted it to be over already. Knowing her luck, this kid would be late prolonging her discomfort.

Currently she was stretched out on the couch with her feet up. Her ankles were swollen and achy and her back had been hurting almost non-stop. All of it just helped to make her cranky, which is probably why Tony was down in the lab. There had been a lot of growling and grumbling this morning and her husband had retreated out of the line of fire. Natasha was enjoying the last few moments of quiet she would get in a very long time.

That quiet was about to be interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing.

Natasha sighed and slid off the edge of the couch, carefully getting to her feet. It had to be someone they knew since not just anyone could get up here.

She opened the door was a little surprised to see who was standing there.

"Nick?"

"Oh, you know Nick. He had his own two cents on the baby's name and I told him we didn't want to hear it." Tony smiles, kissing his wife. He is not going to tell her what's going on because she is two weeks away from having the baby and doesn't need anything to worry about.

Or worse yet, a reason to come out of retirement.

"Now, did you want your favorite tea or do you want some raspberry this time? Eddie loves raspberry, I bet." Tony smiles.

Tony sighs irritably. Thanks, Nick.

"Look, I'm going to handle this. I may need to go to Los Angeles and talk to Sydney and Andy about Maggie's little stunt, but this isn't going to stand. I don't want to call Anya in on this, but Misha's stealth armor is going to pay some dividends.

I think Justin will also be interested in helping out with this. We'll figure out where Maggie's got the information, who's helping her and shut them all down. And if I happen to send her to the poorhouse in the equation, I'm okay with that, too." Tony says.

	"Maggie's behind this? You should have let me take care of her months ago," Natasha grumbled. "Still might after the baby's born. They'll never find the body." She sighed. The family didn't need this right now. "If this is all armor related stuff, you should bring Anya in on it. She has years of experience with armor on Misha and knows the tech." Tony shakes his head. "I don't want to put anything else on Anya's plate right now. She's still upset about Steve and I'm not sure she can focus at the moment." Tony says.

Not to mention, he does not want his daughter anywhere near Maggie. She'd hurt Anya to get to him and he wouldn't take that chance.

"I'll armor up myself for this one. She stole my designs, I'll take them back from her." Tony says.

"Tony, she needs to stay busy especially when something's upsetting her. She's a lot like both of us in that regards. Not to mention she's leading her own team and she has them at her back if she needs them."

A few years ago the argument was reversed. Tony supporting Anya using a suit and Natasha wanting to keep her out of the life. Life sure was weird.

"Not to mention she also has Toni Rhodes at her back. I just think taking care of this will be a lot more effective and easier with Anya in on it."

A pause.

"Not to mention she'll never forgive you if you do this with Misha and Justin and without her."

	Tony sighs. His wife's logic is ironclad, but that doesn't mean he has to like it. "All right. Well, I need to talk to all of them anyway and let them know what's going on. I can make more of a decision once I see how she's holding up." he says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I get this feeling that Eddie's going to take after his mother and have everyone wrapped around his finger." Tony grins.

"Of course, if he likes discussing Zero-Point Energy, I'll consider my contribution to our son made in full." Tony says, kissing Tasha.

"Are you sure you can spare me for a couple of days, honey? I can just video-conference them if you can't. I don't want to miss anything important. Do we have any appointments coming up?" he asks.
