It was looking to be a rather busy week for Vincent. Aside from what he had to do, there were certain things he simply felt he should do, and at least one he was looking forward to.

Vincent actually laughs at that, feeling some of the tension dissipate.

"All right, here's what I didn't say earlier. Even though I know the apology was prompted by social etiquette and international diplomacy... when it comes right down to it, I don't want a good woman being left upset by something I did. I've had too much of that already." He shrugs.

If he'd known she was a telepath, he would have been on guard enough to not superimpose 'strong and beautiful' over the verbal 'good'.

"Do you often not say what you're actually thinking?" Kassia was curious about this. That he had thought one thing but said another was interesting. "Your apology is accepted, but I don't really understand what my prowess and my appearance has to do with anything. Doing the better thing is just that...doing the better thing."

She tilted her head.

"It's cool, Vincent."

Vincent slammed his mental walls up as soon as he now realized that Kassia possessed some measure of telepathy. He affords MacKenzie's comment a chuckle before responding to Kassia.

"Not that sort of prowess, MacKenzie." He looks to Kassia. "And often enough, though not nearly as often as I used to." He shrugs. "I know the right thing is it's own reward, but I was just being honest."

He puts down the gift basket and extends a hand. "I'm glad there's no trouble."

Vincent resists the urge to gild the lily and kiss her hand, merely bowing slightly at the waist before standing up and releasing her hand.

"Excellent. Hopefully the next time we meet there won't be a need for violence or peace offerings. Perhaps I'll see one or both of you at the Stark Winter charity event." He gives his best smile, before looking to MacKenzie as well.

"Good evening to you both. I hope New York agrees with you."

	Kassi noted the smile and nodded. "Perhaps. Have a good evening, Vincent." Okay, so when he didn't need to be pounded on, he was kind of cute. A little. Slightly. She let Mac see him to the door. (Reply to this)(Parent)
