The Hunt for Stolen Tech
It had taken a little time, with the new baby to deal with, but Tony had managed to develop a device to help track down the stolen Stark tech. Four devices had been made and one given to each of the kids to use. Though Tony had told them he wanted them going in pairs to watch each other’s backs.

Anya and Misha were sent out together and Justin and Toni were paired up for this mission. The next one may be different.

Anya and Misha were sent toward Montana while Justin and Toni were sent toward Arizona. They were unsure of who exactly had the tech, just that the tech was there.

	Three drones exploded apart when the small missiles hit them. Two drones started to melt under Toni's assault. More drones continued to fly toward Toni and Justin. They opened fire on the two armored heroes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Evasive maneuvers!" Justin calls, banking sharply to his right to draw the fire of the next set of drones attacking him. He looses a series of repulsor blasts with his left hand in the direction of the drones who follow him.

Next, he missile launcher and the machine gun on his shoulders both rotate to face the direction of the drones and fire simultaneously, trying to keep the drones from focusing their fire on him right away.

	Toni may not have had any fancy armor anymore, but she could still fly with the best of them, manipulating electromagnetic current to ease herself through the air. She dove out of the way of the incoming fire, then swooped back up to fire blasts of electrical energy from her hands. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	One drone went down from the repulsor blast and two more went down from the missile and the machine gun fire. Two other drones are short circuited out from the electrical blasts. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Justin doesn't know what Toni is doing, but he will keep her covered while she does it. "We need to get down inside that base and find out who's operating these things. Maybe we can find out where the crazy chick who stole the tech is!" Justin suggests. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"On it!" he says, opening fire with his uni-beam, machine gun, and last couple of rockets. Once the rocketss are gone, he'll switch to repulsors, even as the bullets hit his armor. 	The drones in their immediate path are destroyed. They fall to the ground in lumps of smoking metal. The remaining drones continue to fire and start to follow them down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The drones kept up the pursuit. Some were blasted by Justin and Toni, and others managed to get out of the way of the blasts. Missiles were launched at the two Avengers and lasers were fired. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Deploy flares!" Justin commands, and his AI does so, dropping several of the little flares into the sky to streak away from him.

The missiles should be attraced by those, but the lasers are a different story.

One of the laser beams connects, knocking him off course to send him tumbling through the sky. War Machine rights himself quickly, checking to make sure his shields are holding.

They do, but their power is diminished more than it should be. Not good.

"Don't get hit by those. I've got a feeling those things go worse on skin than metal." he warns.

	"Lasers?" Toni said. "I've got this one." Lasers are, after all, just a focused form of light. And light falls well within her realm of control. She holds up a hand and the lasers actually seem to halt in mid-air, before being reflected back at their shooters. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The remaining drones are a little confused with the flares, but they fire lasers. The lasers are redirected back and the drones are hit. They fall to the Earth in heaps of metal. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Nothing else came out of the building for the moment. Inside a device had been charging until it discharged an electromagnetic pulse, wiping the few computers in the building and radiating outward. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Tony, EMP shield!" Justin yells, directing his suit to activate its defenses the moment he sees the pulse beginning. Blue light passes over the War Machine suit as the EMP reaches Justin. The shield itself is disabled, but his systems seem okay. He's got enough power to get home, which is more than he would have had if he didn't catch the EMP in time. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The nice thing about not having a suit--even with being distinctly less bulletproof--is not generally having to worry about some of the vulnerabilities of one. Toni draws what of the EMP she can into herself. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
