Dark Reflections pt 2
Not too far from where the battle between the Avengers and the Exiles took place, another group of travelers arrived. They received instructions on what they needed to do, much like the Exiles in that regard. The instructions were simple. Find and defeat a group of dimensional travelers before they could complete their mission.

The small team took cover and waited.

It wasn't long before a flash of white light appeared and a small group of six Avengers appeared.

	He's somewhat familiar with the idea of gods and goddesses - they have Perun on the team, and Ares and Hercules have been about. He fires a couple warning shots at her, then flies upward, trying to take the fight to the air. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin watched the armored figure take to the air. She almost followed, but realized he would have more of an advantage. She raised her sword and readied her shield. Let him come. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He has no need to come to her. He opens fire, intentionally aiming for her shield - both to test its durability, and to keep her attention on the rapid-fire lasers. Once she has her shield up, he releases a swarm of cluster bombs at the ground around her. He has plenty of weapons and ranged options if she wants to try and wait him out. 	Svalin's shield deflected the shots, but it didn't stop the cluster bombs. They went off in a fury of fire and noise. Svalin ducked behind her shield as best as possible, but the flames and concussive force reached her. She was thrown through the air and her clothing was smoldering. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Time to add to the problems.

He fires two rockets, once again aimed more or less for the shield. These were designed for dealing with those with power armor, but work fine on others using metal weapons. Should they hit something metal, instead of exploding, each attaches magnetically, adding to the weight and imbalance of a blade or shield, then emits a powerful electrical shock into the conductive surfaces.

	Svalin held on to her sword and shield when she was thrown. She hit a wall of a nearby building and slid to the ground. She was just starting to climb to her feet when the missiles hit her shield. A second later electricity coursed through her. Her body started to convulse. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He's pretty sure that's not going to keep her pinned down long, so, like the veteran he is, and as willing as he is to use every trick in the book, he takes advantage while he has her open and convulsing - opening fire with the big guns, firing his gauntlet pulsors and the concussion missiles at once - but not at her, at the building she crashed into.

He's perfectly willing to use New York's real estate against her if dropping several stories of steel and concrete on her will help slow down the goddess.

	That wouldn't have kept Ares down. He isn't sure how long it will hold this one. Still, it gives him a chance to try and help out those having less luck. Rising higher, he starts zeroing in on one of the goddess' teammates, preparing to snipe someone while they're focused on his teammates... (Reply to this)(Parent)
