A Job Well Done
It had been a long two weeks in New York, but in the end they had managed to get quite a few recruits for the new shows. Now that they were just about done here in New York, they'd be heading off to Los Angeles. There were always people looking to be the next big star in that town and recruiting should be easier.

The screening process was slow because the boss didn't want just anyone in the shows. He wanted people that would deliver action and most importantly ratings. Not your everyday ordinary Joe Schmoo off the street would do. The boss wanted people with charisma, or ones who could provide a lot of action. Mutants were great for the latter and they couldn't just come out and ask people if they were mutants. There was a battery of very specific questions and then a small "screen test" to see what they could do.

So far the boss had been pleased with the ones that had been found and sent back.

They had two more days here in New York and then it was off to Hollywood where the pickings would be better and easier. Sweepzweak couldn't wait to get to Hollywood where sun and beautiful women awaited.

Antagonista reaches behind herself to pull out an appropriate black hat and place it at just the right angle atop her head.

Then she releases a loud, melodramatic evil laugh_TM, and points to the nearest hero.

"You! have not even begun! to experience pain and agony, until you taste defeat! at the hands of..."

She reaches behind herself and pulls out a massive, ridiculously-sized weapon of Liefeldian manufacture.

"ANTAGONISTA!!!"

	Chris is buffeted to the side as the ground beneath her erupts. The jackrabbit is out of her line of sight when she looks up again, but there's a new target. With way too unwieldly a weapon. She roars and slams a massive paw down, trying to pin the weapon to the floor, before swinging the rest of her body at it's wielder. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Antagonista flips out of the way, carrying the weapon easily despite its awkward size. Coming to a stop, she levels the gun at Chris. "Here, kitty kitty kitty!" she bellows... and then opens fire. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Chris braces herself, then drastically shifts back, feeling bones crunch and reshape themselves as her mass and size decrease again. It pulls her out of the line of fire, but her muscles are on fire. There's a round of curses as Chris is struck. It does however send her clear of the pit, even if she's back where she started now. She hisses and shifts down to her midpoint of transformation. Her body really doesn't want her doing all this, but she ignores it.

Digging her claws in, she runs along the wall to avoid the previous traps, she leaps through the air, before shifting in size again to change her velocity mid-jump.

	She connects with Antagonista, who collapses in a heap. She struggles to sit up... "...Zounds... foiled again..." she mutters, before she collapses unconscious. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Don't think you're done yet, not by a long shot." Chris growls, surveying the area momentarily, before making a thunderous sweep of her paw, sending the other girl flying at one of the other bad guys. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Sweepszweak was about to further his attack, but sees the situation with his teammate. Cursing his nature, instead of following up in attacks while he has the advantage, he does what he must - pulls out a bullwhip from his belt, lashes it around a chandelier in the room with no reason to be there - other than maybe so it can be swung from, and swings through the air, neatly catching Antagonista mid-flight, rolling to a stop.

Of course, now that he's rescued the maiden, since he actually neither particularly cares about her, nor even likes this particular teammate much, he drops her unceremoniously and looks back to the fight.
