Let Loose the Dogs of War!
Plans had been made, maps studied, the situation read as best it could be.  There was no more time for talk.  The Mothership would be leaving by the next day.  If the aliens who had stolen this world were not defeated now, it wasn't likely they ever would be.

But these aliens had never faced people with the kinds of powers that the Avengers possessed.  The paltry number of defenders the planet Earth had had when they had arrived had died easily.  And this world possessed no Inhumans, no Eternals, no Deviants.  No one would or could fight back on the scale needed.

But the time of domination was over.

/This is going to be fun,/ Kal sent to Mac. /Ready to do this?/ A moment later she charged up her hands and sent a blast of cosmic energy at the closest ship.

Mac had filled his Xandarian spacesuit with a little water to keep himself in top form.

/Ready,/ he answers her as he hurls himself at high speed toward one of the fighters that Kal's not handling, to grab hold of one of the nacelles and swing it towards another pair of fighters.

Under the assault of the two super-humans, the first two fighters don't last long at all.

More swoop in, firing their weapons.

Kal threw up a TK shield around herself and headed straight for a fighter. Mac wasn't the only one who could throw things. She grabbed one with TK and sent it careening toward another.

Mac does a little fancy flying to evade the fire, then grabs hold of a fighter again.

While hardly the galactic empire that the Kree or Skulls of Shi'ar were (even in this universe where they were modestly more successful), the Malacandran were advanced enough to have built space-fighters. In this universe, their slight edge had been enough.

Against a Eternal and the likes of a Nova-fied Atlantean hybrid, it wasn't nearly enough.

The remaining fighters, not used to such small targets to begin with, try to continue their fighting, ineffective thought it might be.

"Good work, guys," Steve said over the comm. "We're gonna make a run for the airlock. If you can, an escort would be great."

Mac keeps throwing and knocking things. "Got it. Kal, you feel as much like a hockey enforcer as I do?"

And ships on the right will get knocked off course, slammed into each other, etc. in a nice clear line.

With the two spaceborne helpers, the ship made it to the airlock, a security code being used to override the locking mechanisms.

The few remaining fighters started to retreat.

"We're going in," Steve told Kal and Mac. "Any chance of back-up?"

Once they were in, Steve and his team were almost immediately under attack. With one smooth gesture, he threw the shield, bouncing it off the wall, and disarming the initial defenders.

It made for easy work to mop the first wave up, but more would be coming.

A number of human minds could be detected a few floors up. Alien minds were scattered across the ship in greater numbers.

Shield before him, Steve raced through the corridors as fast as his legs would carry him. He'd studied the maps of the mothership, knew almost exactly what to expect.

Guards barred their way. He threw the shield with his mechanical arm, taking out two with one blow.
