Everything's Bigger in Texas
The Super Bowl. I'm at the @!*@!#*$*#@ SUPER BOWL.    And the Jets made it.

I wish Dad were here.

CeCe looked out the window of the private box suite that Anya had secured at Cowboy's Stadium.   She was here to watch a football game of historic proportions, as the winners of the first three Super Bowl's ever, the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets, were going to play for the championship.

CeCe's dad was a DIE HARD Jets fan.   It cost her two weeks of tutoring income to get tickets to see the 45-3 debacle at Gillette Stadium when the Jets came up north to play the Patriots.   But she screamed when the Jets beat the Steelers 2 weeks ago to make it here.

And then Anya had the idea of bringing the Thunderbolts to Dallas for the Superbowl as a team activity. The team was down, thank God. And there were even a couple of friends along...including Franklin. She was VERY happy to see Franklin.

She looked out the window again, staring.   The Jets hadn't won a title since Dad was a kid. She had hoped that he had done enough repenting to be seeing this game from above.

	Anya was decked out in Jets gear. She was more a Giants fan, but she had to support the New York team. It was a great day for a game and she had to remember to do something special for Daddy for getting them the box for the game. She sipped her soda as she watched out the window. 	Greyson wasn’t the biggest sports fan by any stretch of the imagination. Still it was nice to do something that most people would consider normal or get jealous about. He wasn’t wearing any team paraphernalia but was having fun criticizing the Quarterback’s throwing techniques from up in the stands in his head. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

CeCe was actually working on real food...shaved steak sandwich with a side of buffalo wings. Jerry Jones knew how to build a frigging stadium. "The defense needs to get after Aaron Rogers more. If they can't generate a pass rush he's got the WRs to pick them apart, Darrelle Revis or not."

With that, Rogers, on the field, completes a 40 yard pass to WR Greg Jennings resulting in a touchdown, the first of the game. The cornerback, who was Darrell Revis, was flat on the ground at the five yard line.

CeCe let out a four letter word, then remembered there were kids around. "Damn, I think Jennings just became the mayor of Revis Island on Foursquare."

	CeCe whipped around really quick before getting her composure. "Hey, you." The rest of the T-Bolts will notice this is the first time CeCe's taken her eyes off the field since the game started. 	CeCe smiled. And tried not to melt too much. When she first met Franklin, she did find him all the cuteness. But then she realized how nice he was. Now she hopes she's just not too annoying/clingy/whatever would cause him to see her as the loser she thinks she is at times. "Grab a seat, then. Folk's about to kick off." 	The Grimms have had season tickets since Daniel was born. He'd been to almost every home game in his life, and the years they made the playoffs were extra special. The Super Bowl, however, was like a dream come true - and taking his really actual girlfriend to the Super Bowl in her first year of learning to be a Jets fan? Greatest. Thing. Ever. Period. She didn't here the chirp at first as Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson just busted out a 65 yard run to tie the game at 7-7 (after the extra point.) She was yelling too much.

Then she saw the message and smiled, dialing him up. "Suite 42, on the mezzanine level. The really nice one. We already got food up here, but if you want to hit the concourse, they have anything you'd probably wa....AND IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!...sorry, Jets just scored. See you soon, hon."

	Franklin chuckled at that. She was definitely a Jets girl. He got himself a bag of chips for the trip up, and then made his way in to see CeCe and the rest of the Thunderbolts. (Reply to this)(Parent)

They had just finished the first quarter, with both teams moving to the opposite end of the field, when the power went out. For the entire stadium.

It was only dark for a few seconds before the ground started to rumble as if it was in the earthquake....then it stopped.

For anyone that's used to moving around in very large air transports...like, say, a helicarrier...it felt for all the world that Cowboys Stadium was...rising into the air.

Then it picked up speed, and everyone else began to realize that this was some serious, serious juju.
