Leaving On A JetPlane (Is just arriving somewhere else on one)
Chris smiled to herself as she watched the tarmac approach, feeling the familiar grinding and bumping of wheels as they met the ground, her flight finally setting down at LAX. Mom living on the other side of the country may make it a bit of a jaunt to visit, but she loves coast-hopping. Mom and Dad's separation wasn't easy for her to deal with, but she'd never held it against either of them. She'd made it blatantly clear, even with how young she was, that she wasn't going to be bounced back and forth in whatever custody agreement. It was why she'd wound up with the X-Men; Avengers-Hank had talked to X-Hank, who talked to the Professor. So, Xavier's; best place in the world for a kid to grow up learning how to master their freakish ways.

No need for baggage claim, since everything she needed was at Mom's, and there would be shopping. Chris was still struggling with resisting the urge to bolt down the hallway on all fours when she spotted the familiar face.

"Mom!" She waved, but didn't bother sprinting the rest of the way down the hallway to the welcome area. Last time she did that she accidentally clocked someone with her carry-on.

"Honey, you haven't seen half of how distracting I can be." Moving the back end of the staff, she pushes aside one of her shoulder straps just a bit, before lunging forward.

She strikes just to the left of one of Halbjorn's feet, using the momentum to vault herself forward for a drop kick. "Or how fast I can work!" She grins as she ups the sparring a bit. Then again, it hardly needs to be sparring for her. As a human, she's fairly sure she couldn't so much as nick his toenails.

She goes into motion, so does he, moving a lot faster than something that big should be able to, catching the drop kick with the middle of his staff and pushing her backwards, giving her a grin.
"Aye, but thou wouldst need be powerful distracting. Asgard hast its share of temptresses among its enemies." he replies, continuing to fight mostly defensively to make sure he doesn't accidentally hurt her.

Chris manages to land on her feet, although not as gracefully as if she were transformed. Yeah, this might be a little too rowdy to count as real practice anymore, but it was fun, and sometimes that was enough.

She pretends to pout, batting her eyes as she circles him, making multiple feints before attempting a tag to his shin. "So I'm not pretty enough? Damn shame, here I thought you'd be interested in a good time out tonight..."

He blocks the strikes- she's quick, but he's quick, and has been practicing with these things his whole life, even if its not his primary weapon. There's a reason the Asgardians, even not the children of Thor, have held off so many enemies so long, many of them bigger, stronger, or versed in magic, and most of it comes down to skill.

Still, the pout gets a grin. "Most assuredly, but battle, e'en preparing for it, ist battle. And battle ist life... or death. But when the weapons art put away, thou wilt most assuredly hold mine full attention."

	"Trust me, we'll throw down again next time I'm in town." She winks, enjoying the banter. "As for dinner, still got the rest of the afternoon ahead of me.
