Jason made sure to put on his best button-down shirt and slacks, matching them with the new black leather coat Jessica got for him. She and Hunter were doing well, and she wanted Jason to have a new coat because New York was much colder than Louisiana.

Besides, you can't take that pretty secret agent woman of yours out lookin' like you just stepped out of the lab.

Jason thought Sammy rather liked that look.

In any event, he'd found a Mediterranean coffee shop in the area that he thought Sammy might like, due to her coffee fixation (he is working on introducing tea into her life) and hopes that dinner and coffee will be a fun time for her.

He knocks on her door with flowers in hand and hopes he remembered to level up his professions in WoW today.

"Not when you promised me Indian food. I love Indian food." She kissed him a second time for luck and because it felt good. Jason had a knack of making her feel special and she couldn't get enough of it.

"When did you get a chariot?" A safer topic than suggesting they get the Indian food delivered and spend the evening curled up on the sofa. "When did you leave your lab long enough to get one?"

The second kiss makes his smile wider than the first, if such is even possible.

"Hey, I requested a car from the lab, baby. I wanted tonight to be special and for you to have a good time. I remembered you sayin' you like Indian food and I went out and tried some the other day to make sure I could eat it.

Now, I'm takin' you out to enjoy it together. Maybe next time we can order in and hang out. I'll teach you how to play World of Warcraft or we'll watch a movie or two until one of us falls asleep." he smiles.

He knows that Sammy doesn't get a lot chances to really let her hair down, so to speak, so anything that lets him see her do so is instantly fun. "Not outside of elementary school. We did the usual stuff then. Museums, libraries, the Empire State Building, the UN. We were far too young to appreciate it. Now I see the museum or the UN when I'm formally invited to some event or attending with my parents."

She bumped his shoulder with hers. "Have you managed to see anything of New York while you've been living here? And online doesn't count."

"You should hear the new book I'm workin' on. It's a fictional work kinda based on real life. I've created a character who's an office-worker by day, Private Eye by night." Jason says.

Then he launches into his best Humphrey Bogart impersonation.

"She had dark hair and deep, soulful eyes that a man could drown in. She was good with any gun she touched, but she preferred the Glock. It was the first thing she put on in the morning and the last thing she took off at night.

More often than not, she'd wear something revealing, but still manage to conceal the weapon completely.

Then she'd dare me to guess where she had it hidden." Jason finishes with a lopsided grin, leading Sammy to the carport.

"I think I won the auction, personally."

Soon enough, they arrive at the Indian Restaurant and Jason parks the car, taking a moment to lean in and kiss Sammy. "The food here is great." he says. "I really hope you'll like it."
