Getting Ready For School (open)
School shopping with a very opinionated five-year-old was an experience Sydney would like to forget, mutant power aside. It had been a constant battle for the past three hours. Zoey loved being out and loved going shopping, it was just her taste in clothes. Everything the child picked out had been black. It wasn't any place strange where she picked up her taste in fashion, but did everything have to be black?

It just made school shopping VERY difficult.

In the end most of Zoey's clothes were black, but Syd had managed to get the child to agree on some clothes with other colors in them.

Syd sighed as the front door closed behind her. She dropped the numerous bags she carried in the foyer. First something cold to drink, then she'd come back and grab the bags to put the clothes away. This year Syd had bought her at least double what they had bought last year. It was nice to have a good paying job and to be able to provide for her daughter. Zoey's birthday was in a week and Syd would be able to make it the best birthday of Zoey's life. She just had to find time to go shopping without Zoey.

She made her way into the kitchen in search of that cold drink.

	Syd grabbed the pitcher if iced tea out of the fridge and filled her glass. "School is starting very soon and Zoey needed new clothes. I swear she grew an inch in the past month alone." 	Syd nodded and sipped her iced tea. "She adores Asleif and wants to be like her. Too much like her." Syd shook her head. "It's Zoey's second year of school. There's kindergarten before first grade." Second year? And Zoey still isn't allowed to help with the cooking? No sparring practice? She doesn't even have a pet to take care of and train. He looks quite concerned by all of this, even aside from someone wanting to be like Aslief - all the more reason to make sure Zoey gets some help so she doesn't get too far behind, otherwise she'll end up all sickly like poor Aslief.

"I see. I wilt hath a talk with her, see if I canst aid thee in getting her to not simply limit herself to following the arts and ways of mine sister."

	Right. Not from this planet. How did one describe a bike to a person who has never seen one? "It's a method of transportation with two wheels and a metal frame. A person sits on it and pushes down on pedals to make it move. It usually takes awhile to learn how to ride one because one has to learn how to balance on it." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Aye, my sister hast great patience at times. She must for her arts." Yeah, he won't admit it often, but he does have some respect for his sister, maybe even likes her a little... from time to time.
