Meeting of the Godheads
Osiris rises from his seat, now that everyone has responded to the invitation. Everyone who received one, at least.

He stamps his staff of office, drawing eyes to him.

"We are aware that there have been significant signs and portents of change coming. We are also aware no one has yet determined the nature of this, unless someone is hiding information from the rest. We also notice that one of our number has not been invited. Anyone care to explain?"

Tezcatlipoca steeples his fingers, considering those gathered. Yes, there is possibility for conflict here.

"Like it or no, the Asgardians are gathering power. Times past has seen them threatening others... can we discount the risks of, say, another Destroyer? Odin is wise... but he has been acquainted with treachery as well. Surely we should be meeting to talk in such a circumstance."

"I think the wise Dagda is correct, and lord Odin has his points. I cannot recommend a path to war, my friends... but we should be prepared, in case the Asgardians have grown ambitious again. I know, whatever the decision of this council, we will be securing ourselves better... just in case. No aggression, of course... but if the Asgardians can build up, we can as well."

And he's well aware he has less friends than Odin here... so if the Asgardians alone building up isn't enough, perhaps that bit of agitation will arouse some concerns.

"The details I have are not to specific but it seems that a child is to be born to one of the children of Thor," the Dagda explains, "This child is to be a child of incredible power capable of possibly changing the course of their great cycle or event breaking it.

Their is another part that I have heard from Elathan of the Fomorians that as many good things he is capable of there are as many ill.

Normally I would not trust the words of a Fomorian but Elathan is a good king and cares for the well being of his people and did seem honestly worried.

I am sure Odin already knows of this and has looked into this child's future in greater detail."

"I don't suggest we attack them, but I do agree with Dagda and Tezcatlipoca; I will consider securing myself further, in the event that aggression will come our way." Zeus says.

"I do urge all to consider this, however. If this council is aware of the potential futures surrounding this child, then so are many others. Those forces would not hesitate to either destroy this child before they can come to pass...or help hasten them along.

Olympus will hope for the best, and prepare for the worst." he finishes.

The God of Mischief and Fire watched the meeting of the godheads with interest. It took a lot to hide himself from their notice, but he was /that/ good. The fools gave him the information he had been seeking for months now.

Now he knew what had happened to his brother's eldest while she was missing. The other pantheons were concerned and this could benefit him.

He looked at his granddaughter. "I trust you will tell your colleagues of these events?"

"Of course," Alfrun said. "This is unexpected, but fortuitous. There is already conflict between the godheads, it will not take much to cultivate it into something greater."

Loki smiled. "Good." Now he just had to let it slip to Odin that the other godheads had a meeting and purposely didn't invite him.
