Demons To The Left of Me, Undead to the Right, Here I Am Stuck In the Middle With You
The sun was starting to sink on the Western horizon and into the Pacific Ocean as another day was ending. A few miles south of 1800 Palos Verdes Drive the ground erupted in a spray of dirt. One by one soldiers came forth from the ground. Some were Spartans, some were Roman legionnaires, and some were Norsemen. A total of three thousand eventually stood in the dying light. They moved into formation and started marching.

	Chains formed around the demon and he roared in protest and struggled as they tightened around him. He bellowed at his troops to find the magic user responsible for this afront. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Marlow let loose with an energy blast that manefested in fiery red daggers aimed directly at the demon. Then she sent another blast at the troops around him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	This particular spell required Aslief to direct the chains, keeping them wound and bound ever tighter. Certainly, there were other binding spells, but this was much more powerful. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aridis struck at the demon with her sword. The blade sang in the air before striking the demon. She didn't wait to see what happened and struck out again and again for three quick and powerful blows. This would be followed up by a last over head swing. Aridis was good at fighting quickly. 	Asleif had to split her attention, to both maintain the spell binding the major demon, and to fight against the approaching hoard. Casting and controlling multiple spells at once was always more difficult, more draining, than otherwise. Using one hand to maintain the chain spell, she cast another with her other hand, mystic flames called forth against the demons. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aridis paused in her attack of the head demon. She drew in power then blasted it out with a wave of her hand to knock over a line of demons to keep them away before swinging her sword at the head demon. Her ears and head rang from that show of power and she was frowning a great deal. Owch. Better leave the magic to her sister. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

With Aridis still waving away the line of demons, Marlow turned her attention to the demon commander. Her eyes rolled back in her head as she raised her hands and shouted a chant. Another voice, like nails on a chalkboard, echoed a half second behind hers.

"From their bitter blazing land -- may the Faltine raise their hand
May their flames now leap and hiss -- open wide great abyss!"

	A rift opened under the major demon and sucked him in. He howled as he was banished back to the Dark Dimension. There was a pause in the ranks of the demons as they watched their commander disappear. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Mephisto had been watching the battle and had seen his commander banished. The lesser demons would not be effective without a commander leading them. He made a decision and called back his troops. On the battlefield the demons disappeared in puffs of smoke. (Reply to this)(Parent)
