Reporting for Work (Nell)

Cassidy shows up at the Consulate to speak with Nell, per Andrew's suggestion. He's given it some serious thought over the last few days, and helping Andrew and the Genoshans feels like the right play to him. He's been thinking over what he wants to do with his life and now, he knows.

Right now, though, he's here to speak with Miss St. Croix about how he can help with her work and, in turn, Andrew's.

	"The coolness comes in because mutants can do things that those of us who aren't mutants can only dream of. The truth is, baseline human beings could learn a lot from mutants if we worked together instead of freaking out all the damn time. 	Cassidy laughs at the teasing, thinking that Nell either liked mutants more than she should or that she was just a good-natured person that wanted to help people. He believed it was the latter, but with a dash of the former thrown in. "So, what do you think of the people my brother has surrounded himself with?" he asks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Gio is really cool and so is Angelo. I don't know how they all manage to eat all of the good food he cooks and stay skinny." Cassidy says.

"Sengai...is interesting. I don't know him that well, but he seems like he's a bit culture shocked. I'm hoping he makes the transition okay." Cassidy says.

"I'm not sure if I met Rikki, but why wouldn't she like you?" he asks.

"My guess is that she doesn't like me because I'm a baseline human, Cassidy. It may surprise you a little but the disdain goes both ways in the world. She's probably had a slew of negative experiences with humans. Now she hasn't said or done anything, but there was just this look on her face when Andrew assigned her to be my bodyguard.

"I always feel a little weird about being the lone squishy."

"Well, then you should take precautions...like not ditching the bodyguard that could help us with this." Cassidy sends mildly.

"Andrew thinks you're important enough to warrant a bodyguard, then you shouldn't throw that back in his face by trying to push her away. If he thought she wouldn't do her job, he probably wouldn't have assigned her to you.

But he thinks keeping you safe is a good plan, so that means you're important." he smiles.

"Just one way to look at it, I suppose."
