You Poke and You Prod, You Batter and You Bruise
The lie-smith had drawn lots with the lady of strife, and they'd each chosen a handful of targets. Loki had, of course, cheated. His hobby and his grandson were too amusing to leave to chance. His favored granddaughter might feel some of the sting of this game, but all that he did served the greater Loki, which was what mattered in the end.

These days would be most amusing.

"Not the case." She lets the belt fall away, a stripe of flesh and leather creeping into view as she reaches up for the collar of the coat. "I just received something very nice I thought I'd share with you."

Amazing how dropping a trenchcoat can feel like slipping on battle armor. It's far from the most comfortable thing she's ever worn, but damned if she doesn't feel ready to take on the world.

Julian sees the outfit and does something that Lisa has never seen him do.

He visibly pales.

Then he looks /furious/.

"Lisa, who sent you that? No, forget it. I don't care who sent it.

Take it off this instant."

Several of the metallic objects in the room, followed by the building itself, and then a few of the buildings within two blocks begin to shudder.

...okay, right words, WAY wrong response.

Lisa's eyes widen and she manages to nod, hurriedly loosening the ties and making sure the door is firmly shut behind her as she sheds the outfit, the boots taking the longest.

She looks around the room at the clattering objects, then to Julian, as she approaches, cautious and naked. "Julian... are you going to be alright?"

She will not say he's scaring her, but she's prepared to bring his power down a notch if his outrage doesn't subside.

"It was an anonymous gift. I.... Julian, please tell me what's wrong."

Julian attempts to calm down. Plausibly, it could be Mother playing a game with him. She did that from time to time to keep him on his toes. She could easily have set up the surprise and arranged for Lisa to wear it, just to say she was watching.

She'd even do it anonymously just to fuck with him.

Then again, she could do far worse just to fuck with him.

No, this had someone else's handprint on it. The Club knew who his mother was, but he didn't think they'd be dumb enough to try this on him. Even so, what would they do besides anger him?

No, someone either knew too much, or knew just enough to be a liability and Julian's thoughts were pointed in two directions. He'd have to deal with someone today.

"Lisa, I want you to give me those clothes, put your coat on and go to my place. Do not answer the door for /anyone/. Do not answer the phone. I'll be there later this evening." he says.

She might as well be wearing a burlap sack for all the looking he's not doing.

"I need to go." Julian says, grabbing his phone and his wallet.

Then he leaves the office, being sure to close the door behind him so that no one can see Lisa in all of her glory.

And Lisa's meter for creepy just swung hard to the far end of it. Julian seeming to be forming a plan does make her feel less confused, though, even if she still doesn't know what sparked that response.

She gathers up the clothes and hands them to him. She had one or two changes stashed in his closet, so she'd be alright in getting to his place. "Julian, be safe." She tells him evenly as she hands over the clothes, then watches him all but fly out. She gets herself dressed again and complies with his request.

It's going to be a very long and paranoid afternoon into evening.
