And this is how the world begins, to marvelous fanfare
The fight was a brutal one. The dead have been gathered, and they are many. But even more of their enemies have fallen, and will not have the strength to attack again for a long time.

Odin was plunged into the Odinsleep, battling some foe that none of the other have found sign of, aside from obvious verification that it was a massive and fearsome fight... and the Lord of Asgard was victorious... but how long he'll sleep is anyone's guess.

Thor has ascended to the throne, sign of the continuance of the kingdom. Sign that Asgard was bowed, but did not break. They continue to defy all foes, all endings. And when they fight, even when they fight and die... a celebration is still called for, including recognition of significant heroes and events.

And today, there were at least two.

Thor calls his eldest daughters before the throne, and Vernique with them.

"Rise, brave warriors and noble lady of Asgard. Each of thee hast thine own tale of bravery in the face of this battle.

As so many hath a'ready given so much to the realm... so first shalt the realm give back."

He gestures, and two servants bring an ornate wooden box forward.

"Arise, Aridis Sifsdottir. For thine deeds this day, it hast been agreed that thou'rt to be given the highest honor the realm can bestow. A weapon hast been crafted, suited to the new Goddess of Archery and the Hunt."

	Aridis is stunned. The look on her face says it all. But she had always know the bow would always be in her hands. The fact they had named her the goddess of archery and the hunt had stunned her. She stood prepared for her weapon. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thor raises his cup and leads the toast, then the shouts. The hall grows even more raucous than normal. This kind of news was exactly what was needed to lift spirits after such a costly battle. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aridis doesn't blush sharply but she cant stop smiling. She loves the sounds of happy people. But the idea of hunting with this bow sends a thrill down her spine. She may just have to do this soon. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin is exhausted, but she's all smiles. She wanted to check on her brother after hearing about his injuries and there would be time after the ceremonies were over. Svalin always worried about him. It was part of being his sister. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Svalin is in luck, sort of. He looks like a bloody mummy... in the red and viscous stuff on the bandages way, not the British... but there was no way he was missing the presentation of his nephew and his sister being welcomed into the pantheon.

Halbjorn sits at the back of the hall, with two healers fussing at him, and possibly making sure none of the holes are large enough that any of his mead is leaking.
