Anya stood at the corner across from the Thunderbolts HQ waiting for the light to change and the crosswalk signal to come on. She held a paper bag that contained a few containers of Indian food in it since she worked through dinner. A few hours in the lab and Martin's laptop had been modified in order for him to be able to use it. Now it was time to eat and get back to the dozen things she had to read for Ren Tech. After calling her parents and wishing them a happy anniversary and see how they liked her gift. They had been married for three years. Who would have thunk it?

The light changed and Anya crossed Hampshire street. She reached the other side and reached for the door handle of the entrance to the renovated firehouse that served as the TBotls HQ. The blow she didn't see coming hit her on the back of the head and blackness enveloped her.

A large man caught the body before it fell to the ground and picked her up as if she were nothing more than a doll. He put her over his shoulder and walked off into the night.

The next day a picture and a note was delivered to Xavier's Institute For Higher Learning addressed to Misha Romanov.

	"Not particularly." Misha carried her on board and set her down in a seat. He paused a moment to buckle her in as if she were an invalid. "I think Dept H is trying to make a come back with Weapon X. 	"It's the foreigners polluting the air." He fell into another seat and hunted for the belt before giving up on it. He was covered in drying blood and sweat and feeling itchy in his skin. 	"There is no we." Misha found the chute and yanked it out. Anya's orders were ignored. "Toni, you will take Anya back to New York. I'll go back. Send help when you get back in the air. He got the chute on himself and moved toward back hatch. "If I die, Anya can finally get her hands on Darlene. Don't count on me staying dead. X-Men have the resurrection machine in the basement. Open the hatch and let me out. You two head straight for New York. I'm serious, get me some help. I don't want to walk out if I can help it."

He waited for the hatch to unlock, then pushed it open just far enough to dive out. In another second he was gone.
