There's a whole other existence of mutants most don't know about. Neither Xavier or Magneto seemed to properly acknowledge this segment of the mutant population. I'll give them a kick where it hurts and tell them to mind their own damn business."

She sighed, kicking a small rock out of the way. "It's always the way of those in 'power' to try to waggle their sticks and conform everyone else to their ideals, Fred. Maybe it's one of the reasons I'm somewhat of a flake - so they say. I just don't like being told what to do."

One of the reasons I prefer to stay here as opposed to other places is that I'm allowed to express myself however I want. If I agree or disagree, I'm not shoved in a cell or given demerits or whatever. Granted, most of the people here have a similar mindset, that totally doesn't mean they're all part of the Borg collective."

Grinning, she gives his arm a light pinch. "And don't look so surprised that I can have actual thoughts rattling around under a head full of blonde hair."

"Ah, then lemme guess, it's my lack of proper grammar and enunciation? Pah, I say."

And even though she knows he's faking the wince, she can't help but rub the spot better. "So, like I said, get involved a bit more. No one's going to manhandle you into trying to think a certain way. You can be part of the group and still exclude yourself from things you don't agree with."

One that turns to an assessing look as he continues talking, nodding slightly. "I can't really say I blame you, considering where you originally came from. And it is easier to get around the more human you look. I mean, all I have to do is slip on a pair of sunglasses and I'm as normal as white bread, but that doesn't mean I don't see where you're coming from, Friedrich. Regardless of if you want to fit in or not, it hurts knowing you can't."
